Hi
My 6 month old is waking every night at 3am until about 5am. He's not hungry but is teething. He has had a great bedtime routine since he was about 12 weeks and is now eating 3 small meals a day and having 4 bottles of formula. he goes to bed around 7pm every night and wakes for a feed around 6.30/7am. But he's also waking at 3am, 4am and 5am!!!!!
I'm positive he's waking for his dummy and I get up about 4-5 times between 3am and 5am to put his dummy back in - he cries and just won't settle without it. My health visitor told me to give him a dummy as he had such bad colic that constant sucking was the only way to relieve his belly ache - plus he was using me to suckle on constantly. This worked a treat and his colic soon faded and he was a much happier little boy. now i think this dummy is the bane of my life - how can i get rid of it without causing too much upset?
Any advice would be gratefully received
Very tired mumm
