icecreamsandwich-update ROFL

Hi - really sorry but what does this mean?

My brother has the same phone and updated to icecream sandwich, he told me that it improved some of the functionality.  But he is in NZ and is a computer geek, so words of one syllable with no techno jargon arent his style!!!

Tigerlilly, I do understand what you mean about cutting down on rubbish with the 'myfitnesspal' there is definitely somethimg pschological about recording what you eat and seeing the calories build up, and realising exactly where those calories came from (I did miss my chocolate fis today!!)

Which mp3 app did you download - I have never downloaded an mp3 in my life, but am thinking I really should update my music awareness rather than playing the same old CDs all the time!!

Sorry. ROFL stands for rolling on the floor laughing.

Maybe I need to go and have some training, but it is such fun just to play around.

I would also love and mp3 player.

Yesterday there was a power cut in the office, and I so enjoyed playing with my phone.

The mp3 app is Easy mp3 v2 - you search for a song you want and then can play or download it to your phone. Easier than messing about plugging the phone into the computer!

Here's my latest blog post: http://blogwithoutanend.blogspot.co.uk/

It's my app review for the ones designed to help with my mummy challenge, which was going dairy free so i could continue to breastfeed my son who is cmpi (cow's milk protein intolerant). Unfortunately the apps haven't been all that useful, but the phone itself is still fab and has many other useful functions, which I will write about another time!

Tigerlily I wil definitely try the Easy mp3 app.

For us the phone was most useful yesterday. Last day of the football season (in the Championship). It is normally either relegation or promotion day every year for us, as we support a yo-yo club. As a result we always have to go out, as my husband cannot bear the pressure, and we always get lost, as he is just far too stressed. This time we had the map app and the we could check the match report instantaneously. It was just brilliant!

I was thinking about the calendar app. The phone's own Calendar does not seem to have a repeat option, and the Go Calendar app required me to use Go Launcher which changed the layout of the whole. I have only just learnt it how it works, I do not want any changes. I need to think more.

We went to the garden centre on the Sunday, and I caught my husband scanning the barcodes of all the products he liked, and of course checking the football results. We will have to buy one for him.

Our phone came really handy this bank holiday Monday. We could plan our trips, and check football news while away.

Hi ladies,

SO sorry to not have posted here sooner, whilst nothing makes up for my rubbishness I have a good excuse honest..... My little monster decided to hide my gorgeous new phone and after turning the house upside down numerous amounts of times we have everytually located it in his fisherprice money box!!!!!

I've now bought a very pretty cover to protect it from dirty toddler hands and a screen protector to prevent my hair brush scarching it to pieces so I think we are safe to start playing properly.

So far I'm loving the fab screen lock (keeps the other half from stealing it) and the parent timetable has been great for helping me keep to our families very busy scheduel!

The time

Fantastic - I am so impressed that your 'little monster' was keeping your phone so safe for you!!  I got a fantastic case for mine too, makes me feel much safer pulling it out to use it, as they are soooo easy to drop on their own!

I must check out the screen lock - I havent bothered yet, as my little one is too young, although she is fascinated by the screen.  In fact I downloaded the 'color flashlight' ap, and she nearly hypnotised herself watching the psychedelic twirly pattern in bright pink (very cute!!!)

Hi Ladies, finally I have managed to find the blog again!!!  I'm not great at blogs having never done one before and usually being too busy to get on the net much - but I do find myself almost constantly checking my emails with the new phone!  Little tinkle and I know there's one waiting for me.  Having just returned from a weekend in Wales, the phone was invaluable as a navigation system!!  Thanks goodness we set it to get us from a-b as my sat nav couldn't get a signal!!!  I'm so sure there are loads of features yet to be discovered on the phone it's just getting round to find them all and know which apps to download as there are just so many!  After all the rain we've had I took my girls and our dog for a walk through out local fields and it was completely flooded by the little brook that runs along the side, the video on the camera was second to none!  Absolutely amazing!!!

Not done a lot of blogging this week, but just managed to get one up about shopping apps. Please take a look at http://blogwithoutanend.blogspot.co.uk/.

PS - for some reason when I try to make this a hyperlink it just shows up a load of rubbish text in the thread, if baby expert are watching please make it a link and show me how to do it!

Hello ladies, there's always one who's late to the party right?!!  Sorry!  So it was really nice to meet you all at the shoot, I'm Catherine, the one with the strawberry blonde Ben 10 obsessed three year old!

I love the Samsung phone, especially as I just dopped and smashed my iPhone!  I was wary about converting over but so far so good!!!

I love the screen and like many have said, the camera is amazing!

Definitely going to check out My Fitness Pal!  Going to revisit some supermarket apps too as with a big screen I might start doing my food shop online again.

My issue is that there are never enough hours in the day and I'm constantly dashing around so any tips for apps that make it easy to do chores on the go would be great!

x

I love the sound of the fingerprint lock.

We have just got back from an idyllic family holiday in a Devon farmhouse. We could not have coped without the phone. Although there was no signal in the actual house, but we used Googlemaps in the rental car all the time. I could check my emails, we could take photos, check out tripadvisor, etc. My husband announced he needs this phone.

Hehehe   Isnt it great to have technology before the blokes for once!!!  As you say it is amazing what the phone can do, the scary thing is you start to wonder how we coped pre phone!!

I agree. How did we holiday before?! While in Devon, sister-in-law and her husband picked up the same phone with Three. I want commission

I was at Cybher, the women's blogging conference a few weeks ago and there was a seminar on using camera phones for pictures for blog posts so I'm doing all mine on the phone now as so easy to upload to Wordpress!

Wow we are basically into June so I have been using my new smart phone for nearly 2 months...I had to txt on my old (non-smart) phone yesterday and boy did it feel clunky and slow!!   Gotta say I would hate to take a technology step back now, tis surprising how quickly you become dependent on something.  What I am loving at the moment is not having to turn on my laptop and check emails, just vetting them all on my phone and then only need laptop if I want to write a long reply or do more research.  Thus I feel so in touch even when I can barely get 5 minutes to myself, as my DD (7months) has become very mobile and gets bored very quickly....cant believe I have got her down for a sleep so I must now go and get the washing in make a cuppa and try to find the carpet!!!  Hope everyone else is well and enjoying the sunshine

No sunshine here sadly, but also addicted to phone.

We have just had a lovely pohoto of our newborn nephew on it. We kept in touch on the big day as well. Brilliant. Very good camera.
