Fresh from appearing on Comic Relief's Red Nose Day TV spectacular last Friday, 32-year-old James Cordon, best known for playing ‘Smithy’ in popular TV series ‘Gavin and Stacey’, has become a father for the first time.
His fianceé, Julia Carey, gave birth earlier this week, on the 22nd March, at London’s private Portland Hospital.
James Corden's publicist says the couple are "both over the moon" but haven't decided on a name yet.
The couple announced Julia's pregnancy in September 2010, and got engaged the following December.
