  • SIP
  • Side impact protection, where the wrap around 'wings', extra padding and strengthened shell of the car seat give your child extra protection
  • SHR
  • Single-Handed Release, which makes detaching your car seat from a base or pushchair easy
  • Impact Shield or Body Shield
  • A wedge-shaped cushion slots into the front of the seat and is held in place by a seat belt. It absorbs energy in a crash
  • Tensioner
  • A ratchet device that increases the tautness on a seat belt to keep the car seat tightly anchored
  • PAS
  • Stands for Pneumatic Absorption System which uses gas-sprung technology tohelp absorb energy and lessen the impact in a collision
