Fellow pregnant celebrities were among the streams of condolences posted to Amanda’s Twitter page this weekend.

Myleene Klass and Emma Bunton, took to Twitter to send their support to distraught couple Holden and her husband Chris Hughes.

Prima Baby columnist, Myleene wrote: "My sweetheart. I'm so very sorry. Please God, watch over your family and your little angel in heaven."

Emma posted: "Absolutely devastated for Amanda Holden and Chris. Thinking of them and sending our prayers at this very sad time."

Amanda announced her pregnancy only in January after suffering a previous miscarriage last year. The couple's spokeswoman, Alison Griffin, said: "They are utterly devastated."
