It’s not very often a hair scrunchie is the height of fashion, but where pregnant Fearne Cotton goes, the fashionistas generally follow, and we predict a scrunchie revival - perfert for getting your pesky barnet out of the way if you're feeling hot and bothered.
Attending Liam Gallagher’s launch of his latest clothing range Pretty Green with boyfriend Jesse Wood, Fearne joined in the theme, wearing a green dress with lace overlay and collar from her own Very range. Teemed with a pair of leopard print heels boots, cartoon bag and a hair scrunchie, Fearne says she was reviving an age old classic.
Fearne tweeted, “Tonight I have managed to squeeze into the green lace dress with collar from my very collection,” adding, “I’m also wearing a scrunchie. #headingbacktothe90s.”
Fearne, pictured here modeling the dress for the Very website, recently had an awkward pregnancy moment, telling followers, “In a restaurant. Waitress – ‘Would you like a booth?’ Me – ‘Yes please!’ Waitress – ‘Oh, will you fit?’ Me – ‘I’ll try my best’ #grittedteeth.” Poor Fearne. Luckily, as ever, she looked cool as a cucumber last night, even managing to brave bare legs in January.
Fearne went on maternity leave from her job as a DJ on Radio 1 on Christmas Eve, so is expected to give birth in the coming weeks.
