After announcing in January that she is expecting a girl, Victoria Beckham, 37, has now said that she will not be taking maternity leave.
The ex Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer said “Maternity leave – what’s that? I’ve been working incredibly hard so I’m prepared for next season, but my husband and children will always be my priority.”
She believes that women will be able to relate to her as she joins other working mums. “Being a working mum is hard – I think women can relate to me when I say it’s like juggling glass balls. But for me, what I do professionally doesn’t feel like a job – it’s my passion.”
Though admittedly her bank balance is not something most working women relate to!
Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8 and Cruz, 5, are said to be very excited about the newest addition to their family.
The date for her Caesarean birth has been timed to coincide with Independence Day in America and is also her and husband David’s 12th wedding anniversary.
