You will need:

• 2 square metres of Dunelm Mill's new Union Jack PVC fabric
• Pinking scissors
• Craftime Britannia Ribbon
• Thin white thread
• Sewing machine (optional)

Method:

1. Carefully cut the individual Union Jack flags out of the PVC fabric using the pinking scissors. Make sure you keep the scissors straight as the zigzag pattern needs to be constant, however if a mistake is made, match up the pattern already cut with the scissors and carry on cutting
2. Cut the ribbon to the desired length
3. Arrange the flags into different sizes so that you can alternate these throughout the bunting
4. Place the first flag 20 inches in from the end of the ribbon, leaving enough sapce to tie the end, then mark 4 inches between each flag
5. Make sure the ribbon is overlapping the flags so that there is a neat line of ribbon throughout the bunting
6. Place the white thread into the sewing machine and begin stitching the individual flags to the ribbon in one continuous line. Or if you're not too handy with the sewing machine, or if you haven't got one, you could always staple the flags onto the ribbon.
