Subject : Stretch marks with 2nd baby?

Hi there mummies

I managed to avoid the dreaded stretch marks with my first baby and I was wondering whether I'll be lucky enough to avoid them this time round. Has anyone else been ok with their first baby but then got stretch marks with their second, third...?

did you use anything in your first pregnancy to avoid them?
if so use that, but there is a higher chance you will get them second time round as they say as your womb has already stretched your belly goes bigger second time round. Its not like that with everyone but its just more common. I used bio-oil every day in my pregnancy religiously and never got one stretch mark until I ran out of oil at 36-37 weeks and thought I could get any bigger when after one week of not using it I got them, might jsut be a coincidence but I do think bio oil is great! x

Hi Serena

I didn't have any stretchmarks with my second but have a few with my first. I used Palmers Cocoa Butter both times but was a bit more rigid second time round.

How are you by the way? I hope you and baby are well. Congrats on expecting number 2!

Take care

Rebecca

Thanks Rebecca! I'm fine. I must be mad having another baby so close!! Loving being pregnant again though! Mia is fine. I can't believe she's 8 months old now. She's a super-speedy crawler. You can't take your eyes off her for a second! I hope you and your family are well? xxxx

Hi
I worried loads about that too! I had my babies close together and didn't get a single stretch mark with either, yay!

I used Bio Oil twice a day - morning and night and I used to put Palmers on during the day, even at work Happy

Good luck

Hi hun!! havent seen you on aug forum much!
I avoided stretch marks with first pregnancy apart from 3 tiny ones on right hip that arent even noticeable now.
Thought I got away with it again until the last couple of weeks. I seem to be getting more and more each day, luckily they're only small but Im getting them on the front of my bump unfortunatly.
I've used cocoa butter throughout too
