hi i am a mom i have 1 son i work full time i am going to uni full time in apr but i will still be employed and im being sponcered to go i live my partner we have a morgage this is the difficult thing i may become a single parent in the very near future so i am wondering where i stand id like to be able to keep the house we have only had it 3 years and if we sold it we woulndt make what we owed so it would be in our intreast to keep it i havent got a clue at what else id be getting im looking for advice so if anyone can help plz plz post on here

Hi It might be worthwhile checking with Citizen's advice. Financial arrangements when couples split vary but as a general rule you are entitled to half the equity in the house - if there is no equity then potentially you could just take over the mortgage and house in your sole name. Not sure what arrangements there would be re maintenance, etc.
