Subject : 3D/4D Baby Scans - South West

Hi,
Does anyone know of any clinics that offer 3D/4D baby scans in the South West Region? I live in Devon and the nearest I can find is in the Midlands or Portsmouth and didn't really wanna have to go that far.

Thanks!

Bupa do a 4D fetal wellbeing check in Bristol. Theres is focused on Fetal Wellbeing undertaken by an experienced top maternity specialist should they detect any problems. I would recommend that as there is still a lack of research on 4D scans and they recommend only using them for fetal wellbeing reasons and Bupa do a thorough check on the baby as well as let you see the amazing images and take a DVD home.

I live in East Devon. I've been in contact with the Nuffield Hospital which is a private hospital in Exeter and they do the 4D ones for £165.00. How does this compare to other places?

No I spose not but if I can get it done nearer to me that would be better as H2B can come too in between jobs on that day as he is self employed.

TWS, They do them in the Nuffield Hospital in Exeter but its £165.00 - my H2B told me last night that he thinks its too expensive and we should be spending our money on other more sensible things! Gutted! Like Widge, I think I will have to lay on the old hormonal pregnant crying malarkey! x

You have to contact joanna.brooker@nuffieldhospitals.org.uk. at Nuffield Hospital. She is Mr Taylor's secretary who carries out the scans. Apparantely they only do it from 20 weeks onwards x
