Subject : Honest opinions please!!!

Hi everyone,
Im 28 weeks pregnant today and we are really struggling with boys names for our baby. We really wanted something unusual but my partner and i find it difficult to agree on anything. At the moment we both really like Gene (pronounced Jean). I think that this name is really different and cool but do you think it sounds too feminine????
Anybody have any suggestions???

i like the name for boy or girl, but i think of it more as a girls name, but only because a female family member has this name. i do really like it though :) xx

Not sure I can help - my OH says if we have aboy he wants to call it hunter after his mother (her maiden name) which I am far from happy about - I love the name Benedict.
But thankfully we're having a girl so that shouldnt be an issue....
I like Gene!

How about something thats not so high up in the top 100 lists anymore - Stephen (Steven) or something like?

xxx

Gene Hackman (Easy RIder and Blue Velvet films) Gene Wilder (Willy Wonker and the Chocolate factory - the original not the Jonny Depp version) Gene Kelly - Singing in the rain - plus i think Liam Gallahgers son is called Gene! Thats a fairly cool scale to go on i think - i was i nightmare when it came to picking names for our first two - now pregnant with number 3 and its even harder! x
