Been off line for last few days and is lovely to come back and see even more varied responses. For ARG - Yes i'm going for homebirth this time all being well - just a little worried on the tearing side of things but i'm overly obsessed with that side of giving birth - its the only bit that really prays on my mind its very reassuring to here about positive homebirth stories after previous assisted deliveries - i'll propbably be badgering you for tips as my pregnancy progresses hahahaha.

HI My 1st..long breech forceps delivery zillion stitches
2nd...quite quick induction,,no help ,,no stitches
3rd... a ten year gap! about 15 hours, back to back bloody hurt. came out stargazing. stitches needed
4th.. 2 and bit hours, very quick, got stuck, I heamorraged and he needed stomach pump
5th emerg c section at 35 weeks due to placenta previa.

I have heard 3rd can be weird too!!! mine was not that bad tho it did hurt. would have had epidural had I known it would be back to back.

As my 4th was so quick they were going to induce me at 38 weeks with 5th in hospital and monitor me (as I said it was placenta previa so no chance of that)

dont worry, what will be will be! they have to come out! lol.... home birth does sounc best plan for you tho!

good luck and enjoy your pregnancy

Jojomummy -great choice to go for a homebirth, I am more than happy to answer anything you want to know, I could spend all day every day talking about my home birth, it really was so amazing!
I did need stitches again after 2 previous episiotomies and large babies my 3rd was the smallest at 9lbs 2oz and came out face up like my 2nd did as well but the stitches were so insignificant after the wonderful birth and I don't actually remember having them as I was on such a high after the fantastic birth! xx

well about time i updated & let you know that Reuben was born on 21st jan!

my 3rd labour was a really good experience, we got to hospital at 6:45pm & my hubby asked if we could use the birth pool so we were taken to that room i was given some gas & air & checked over by MW (I was in agony but sure they were going to send me home as at 1:00 that day I was checked & only 2-3cm) anyway the MW announced I was 7cm which was a pleasant surprise!

I got in the water pool somewhere around 7:15/7:30 everything happened so quickly I felt my waters go & got the urge to push! Reuben was born at 8:01pm (would have been sooner but his shoulders got stuck) I had a 1st degree tar but didn't need stitches so I was a very happy bunny - guess I was one of the lucky ones who had a fantastic 3rd labour experience!
