Subject : maternity allowance and housing benefits

Hi I was just wondering, if you are unemployed and in receipt of maternity allowance as your only/sole income, are you still entitled to housing benefits?

I would think so - its all based on ur income and how many bedrooms u qualify for. It's now called Local Housing Allowance but u still apply for it as before, via ur local council. Go to this web site.......

https://lha-direct.therentservice.gov.uk/Secure/Default.aspx

U can get a rough idea of what the max entitlement u cud get.
