Subject : Should i ring the EPU??

Hey?,

I had methotrexate on 31st oct for an ectopic which is 5 weeks this friday. A week after taking the meds I got scanned which showed the pregnancy had not shrank at all & was exactly the same size as the day they diagnosed me, but my HCG had come right down to 7 so i was told that was it, no need for any follow up appointments & my body will absorb the pg.

I am still getting pain in the same place & am wondering why the hell 5 weeks later is this still happening? no sign of AF either & i'm debating whether to go back to EPU or not cause its not bad bad pain like before but its definatly still there on & off throughout each day some times worse than others.

Please can you give me some advice?? what would ye do??

M.W.Be, Wigzy, & Gem if ye are reading this how the hell are ya?? hope ye are keeping well girls. xxx

K.

Hey Honey,

Broxi here, i'd definately phone EPU if i were you - even if it is just for peace of mind!!!

I had my Metho shot on 7th October and i'm still getting weird pains now and then and i've phoned up EPU a few times - they'd rather you phoned than never phoned at all!!

Love Broxi xx

Hi hun - I'm ok ta!
Sorry to hear you are still getting pain - I did too right up until last week - and that was 8 weeks after my injection and I was given the all clear on the HCG front 2 weeks ago - so it would have been really low then. They told me it was just the cells dying and thats why it hurt and also that the area gets a bit swollen as it's so tender.

It's probably normal hun - but go see your doc or the EPU - which ever you prefer hun to put your mind at rest!

I also hope you are resting to let your body recover properly!

Take care hun

Hey Hon,

I've been away for the weekend and back to work, so havent been on here for a few days. Sorry your still in pain, i was still getting little niggles right up until last week so maybe its normal? id def check it out thou'.

Im overdue for another hcg test, so have no idea whats going on for me, i'll try and get in tomorrow, id be interested to know what my levels are now.

I thought i was feeling much better (emotionally) but today i found out 2 more friends were pregnant (with 2nd babies) and lots of mates are having 12 and 20 week scans. My sil is also due next week so i just feel surrounded by it all again. It didint help that over the weekend i kept getting asked if i had children and when i said no and changed the subject, they persisted, telling me not to wait too long, and " just get started, theres never a right time"! grrrrrrrh:evil:

anyway hon, sorry ive gabbled on, hope your okay, speak soon,

Hi girls

thanks a mil for the replies, i rang them in the end it was the same dr. who misdiagnosed me which didnt give me much faith in what he said!! he said if the pain is severe go into A&E but he'd expect that once HCG is gone down i should not have any, now i know thats not true cause consultant told me it will be sore, but did not say for how long. Anyhow he asked if i had a period yet i said no & he said i could come in on friday but i said i'll give it another week & see, if he didnt think there any urgency he said not. Hate that place its so depressing.

After all that I had to leave work a little early it got really sore like athrobbing pain? when i breathed in & held it i couldnt feel anything, but as soon as i breathed out i came on again & like throbbed with every breath, it feels like theres something there its really strange & after a few hours it went only getting a teeny twinge every now & then now, tis quite odd WhateeeEver! reassured now that all of ye had pain for a while though so thanks girlies xxxx

Are any of ye (broxi, gem, MWBe) posting on the ectopic forum I lost thelink silly cow i did a big clean out of my inbox.

K.x

I thought i was fine but had a bit of a wobble there last week but not too bad again now. People who go on about others getting pregnant are soooo insensitive i mean for all they know you could infertile or anything its so narrow minded of people to think everyone falls at the drop of hat, stupid **** ggrrrrrrr!!! apart from that i do hope you got chance to relax.

Ive read loads of people feeling the same about having friends have babies try to keep your chin up pet, it'll be your day soon. xx
