try some boiled water cooled down completely. it sometimes help dislodge the bowels. Also lay him on his tummy over your knees and gently rub his back. It worked for my little girl. Hope hes ok. xx

My HV told us to try adding 1/2 spoon of brown sugar to boiled water, which worked well. If he's really bad, your GP can prescribe Lactulose to get him going again x

Bless him!! I agree with the boiled water, I take it you have been to the docs? He is so young it is hard to know what to advice. I used to give mine a warm bath, massage their tummies, and rotate their legs gently(like they are riding a bike). It's strange how tiny babies can get constipated isn't it? Good luck!

Is he breast or formula fed? If he's formula fed and the constipation isn't helped by the above tips then speak to your HV about changing brands. Some LOs get on better with some brands than others.

Hi
My LO was very constipated when he was v young & it was due to the ff he was on. I changed from SMA to Aptamil & he was fine! I would suggest speaking to your HV or doc first (although i went with my instincts which luckily were right)!
Boiled water with a drop of prune juice in was recommended to me.
Sarah x
