honey

hi hun i read up on it the other day when i was looking up weaning. it is safe to give to babies from 12 months. The food standards agency said on their website 'very occasionally, honey can contain a type of bacteria that can produce toxins in a baby's intestines. This can cause serious illness (infant botulism). After a baby is a year old, the intestine has matured and the bacteria can't grow.' Hope this helps x
