Subject : Tandem prams/buggies

Hi girls

I've been looking at the tandem buggies with the option that both babies face you, one in front and one behind which is what i'm after. They are SOOO expensive though!! Some sell the pushchairs and the car seats seperate which works out about the same £400.00 - £500.00. My nan has offered to buy us a pram but I think £400 is a bit much for her really!

Can anyone suggest a decent twin buggies in the style above? Like the Jane Powertwin Pro but cheaper?!

Thanks

x

Didn't want to r&r, however the whole pram thing is a complete night mare and 'oh my god' such a stress!

The only pram I think that also fits your criteria is 'Graco Tour Duo', Its tandem and when both car seats are attached they face you. (However the actual pram seat at the fronts no good for a newborn).

hi soda
do you find the car seats get a bit stuck on the frame of your jane?
mine are starting to. though it may just be that my twins now both weigh 16lb9oz....!
and hey get you going out loads - i am hibernating now ! and plan to stay in til the sun shines!

anyone looking i would recommend this buggy for twins though as it folds up lovely into the car...

My friend recommended the Leebruss Zoom, you can have 2 x car seats or 2 x carry cots facing you and when they go to the seats they can face you, each other or forwards, it is expensive but its lovely.

I know exactly what you mean about the pushchair dilemma. I think Mothercare do one of their own brand ones that takes car seats but I have to admit it doesn't look as versatile as the Jane.
I think we have pretty much decided on the Icandy Pear. Hubby really wanted a side-by-side and we were going for the First Wheels City Twin but having been to see it, I found it really awkward to manouevre even without any babies in. It's also really wide which I thought I could put up with but I don't think I can. Have decided to get the Icandy and then probably just get a cheap Maclaren double for when they are older/holidays/grandparents etc.

I have a Powertwin I bought it new off ebay when my youngest was born with 1 car seat cost £360. I love it although it is bulky when folded and takes up a bit of space and needs a big boot. You can get good deals on them 2nd hand though x
