Hi

I have lots of Nans and aunties asking when my 2 yr old daughter will get her ears pierced - but I'm putting it off - she's a nighmare with pulling her hairbands and clips out I hate to think what she'd do with earings!

i think if the child is asking for them to be done then get them done but if not then dont.

i got mine done when i was 4 as i was asking nonestop for a year and it was only coz i was asking for so long that my mum gave in and let me (she always teases me by saying that ears pierced were my 1st words)

When I was a kid I started asking around 5 but mum kept saying if I still wanted them when I was 7 I could. I got them the day I turned 7 lol.

My mum got mine done when I was 5.

When I was 9 at school I pushed one of the butterfly backs so hard it connected with the back of the stud. I had to go to the drs to get it removed. I've always had problems with that ear ever since and it is slightly bigger that the other one as well.

So personally I dont think id let dd get them done until she is old enough to look after them properly herself!
