Subject : 6 weeks pregnant and having a threatened miscarriage

Hi all

I started to bleed early yesterday afternoon, it start off a pinkish colour but got darker as the night went on. I got up this morning and i was still bleeding. The blood was red. I started to worry so i went to the hospital. The doc did a internal and he said he could see the bleeding, but my curvix was closed. Which was a good thing.
He told me cus its my first pregnancy its most likely a Threatened Miscarriage. I am still worried what could happen.
Ive got blood tests tomorrow and another scan on thursday.
Can anyone give me any advice and resurance?s

aw hun, sorry to hear this! i had 2 threatened miscarriages with my daughter. One at 8 weeks when the bleeding was brown and mostly spotting but then at 12 weeks i had a very heavy bleed and clots! I am pleased to say that my daughter is now 9 weeks old and was a very healthy 10lbs 14ozs at birth!

I hope all is well and get plenty of rest!

ive had 3 lots of bleeding so far,im 16 weeks now. they started at 9 weeks and keeps happening every couple of weeks. i've been told to go through a& e every time and had internals, bloodtests and scans done there and then each time. they cant find any reason for my bleeding, i did have a blood clot near the sac the first time but this dissapeared soon after.dont panic too much as u might just be one of those peaple who bleed, like me! u shouldnt haave to wait so long for a scan so maybe you can go to ur local hospital 2morro and get then to scan u straight away.

hope it all goes well
