Subject : First injections too late?

Hey girls

I made an appointment last week for Gracie fayes first injections at 8 weeks old. I have just looked at the appointment and there actually going to be on the 3rd of december when she is 9 weeks and a day.

Is this a mistake? do they need to be done at 8 weeks? surely there called 8 week injections for a reason LOL!

Did anyone elses lo's have theres late? x x x

Hi Tallkatie 2

Brooke has her first injections today and she is 8 weeks and 5 days old, I think they do things slightly older than the baby's age. As when I was pregnant my scans were always a little later than the number of weeks I was.

That's fine hun, as long as it is around 8 weeks it's fine. Barney didn't get his 16 week ones untill nearly 19 weeks because we couldn't make the first appointmen they sent.

Gabe had his at 10 weeks, 16 weeks and 25 weeks!!!

I was really angry about it actually - our doctors surgery is very understaffed and the practice nurse had broken her foot and was off for ages. The dr did some injections but didnt catch up on them!

I don't think it matters as long as you don't have each jab too far apart. It's normally 4 weeks apart for each one so as long as you stick to around that timeline you will be fine. Make sure you have some Calpol in case she's grizzly afterwards.

as the others have said, they dont need to be done dead on those dates. as long as they are as close to as possible, she'll be ok.

Kelsie had hers at 8+1, 13+2 and didn't have her 16 weeks ones til she was 8 months old!! Just worked out that thats 38 weeks! They wouldnt let her have them as she had a ear infection, then her eczema flared up and when she was ready there was a massive waiting list!! Everytime I rang there wasn't an appt and they said ring in 2 weeks. Everytime I did the said the same thing!! They are so understaffed!!

Poor Gracie-Faye :( I cried when Kelsie had all hers, and no doubt will with Jack!! xxxxx
