You need to place it quite low down around your pubic bone, apply some pressure.. i just kept moving it around down there including turning the doppler round i put a fair bit of gel on to and i find it every time.

http://www.babyexpert.com/chatroom/topic/64581 there is a link from the pregnancy forum others have commented on it too its helpful.

Hope you find it. don't panic if you don't. xx

Hopefully postie will have been and I can go and pick it up tonight!!

No sign of mine today. I only placed the order on Monday, so probably shouldn't be so impatient. I'm sure it will be here tomorrow. Just wanted a bit of reassurance since I mc last time.

Hope he is okay.

Don't forget one of the heartbeats could be your own bexwar! The babies heartbeat should be much faster than yours which is how you can tell the difference, my little boys sounded like a train when the midwife found it!
Hopefully we will get to hear this little beans heartbeat next Tuesday when I see the midwife. I'm too paranoid to get a doppler, I would constantly be trying to find it and worry if I couldn't! x

Hi, no that is the placenta you are hearing. Try not to worry too much, if the baby is lying funny even a midwife can struggle to find it. Maybe get your midwife to give you some tips when you next see her. xx

Picked it up last night, got all excited. But couldn't find it. All I could hear was lots of swooshing noises.

I know when I was having fertility investigations they said my uterus was slightly tilted. So this probably doesn't help, may not be able to hear it for a few more weeks. So looks like I'm going to have to wait until Tuesday formy scan. At least I've only got four days left too wait!

Has anyone else with a tilited uterus managed to find a heartbeat before 12 weeks? I'm only 11 weeks today, so hopefully it's just too early.

Sounds like it is probably too early vixs, my midwife said even with the equipment she has it is hard to find the heartbeat before 12 weeks.

Good luck with your scan on Tuesday! x
