If you want a vbac and the only reason they are recommending another section is because you've had 2 previously, then you can obviously refuse and try for a natural birth but as you have had 2 previous sections it obviously has increased your risk of scar rupture. You will be monitored very closely anyway with a vbac so any problems such as scar rupture should be picked up and dealt with early. Talk to your consultant and explain that you'd like to try, obviously you know the risks so it is up to you at the end of the day x

tbh, if any Dr agrees to let someone attempt a VBAC after 2 c/s, they need shooting!! if the woman declines the c/s then that's her call, but no Dr would recommend or advise it after 2!!

Tinkerbell, although i sympathise with you wholeheartedy for not wanting the c/s again, you know that it is the best and safest thing for you. if you are so ill, with either pre-eclampsia or HELLP, you also know that the only thing that will stop either of them is delivery, and if you are prem again, the only answer is the c/s.

even if by some miracle you get to full term, it still isnt safe for you to have a vaginal delivery!. your uterus has 2 weakened areas on it from your previous c/s, and contractions will probably just go straight thru this! one c/s - fair enough, have ago, but 2?

your Dr is recommending another c/s based on what research has found. i will agree with women who say that they are not always right, but with things like this? i'm with him all the way!!

you could have been grotty after the others, not just because of the c/s but also you were ill!! both pre-eclampsia & HELLP are not the best or nicest things to have!! if you were given drugs for the PET, they will have contributed to it etc etc. hopefully, this time you'll stay well!!
