Subject : FAO: HILARY - USBOURNE BOOKS QUESTION

Hi Hilary

I haven't been on here for quite a while, although I was once a regular visitor on the November forum, but back at work now, so have very little spare time.

I have signed up for the Usbourne books, and have submitted my first order over £100.00 so that I don't have to pay the full value of my starter pack. I did this by distributing the catalogue around friends and family.

However, I would like to put more into it, as like you said in your previous post, the more you put in the more you get out. I work full time a the moment so I don't have much time at all to spend on the book business, but I will be working part time from January so want to put more into it then,

Im just wondering what sort of things you have done to build your business up and how you have included your children in this. I appreciate you may not want to give all your secrets away (although I am not local to you, im in Manchester), but any advice would be appreciated.

Thankyou

Rebecca

There are lots of different places you can go to & sell the books such as day nurseries, pre schools, primary schools, secondary schools just to point out a few of the more obvious ones but you can also go into workplaces & either do a staff room display or pass a catalogue around as you have been doing. The methods you can chose are really up to yourself & what suits you best. Home parties in the evenings are very good at the minute as well as christmas fairs & that sort of thing or even a book fair. A few of my team work fulltime too & they have been concentrating on home parties & xmas fairs at weekends purely coz thats what suits them & fits in around their life. Dont be afraid to give your upline a call though coz they should be only too willing to help as they are earning a percentage from your sales.

Good Luck
Hilary x
