Subject : Hi
Hi ladies,
I just wanted to say hi again as I havent been on for an age and feel a bit bad for just posting again, especially as there are some new ladies on here I think...
so I will start again...
I am Lisa, 28 Years old and have 3 children who are 10yrs, 7yrs and 7 mths.
Phoebe was born 4 hours late on 25th March 2008 and weighed in at 9lb. I had her weighed last week. At 32+3 weeks she weighed in at 17lb 11ozs.
She is crawling, sitting herself up, saying da, ta, all gone, whose that, and maybe even a slight start of mum today, and pulling herself up in her cot. She is fully weened and is currently on stage 3 or year one foods and loves yoghurts, custard jelly and all the usual foods. Her favourite savory is bolonaise. She doesnt have a bottle anymore and refuses all milky drinks unless she is in the mood for it and then it has to be hot chocolate.
She usually sleeps through the night but has been very unsettled for the past 2 weeks. but looks like she may have her first tooth cutting......

Hey,
Good to see you on again!
To update.. i'm Lauren 22, my daughter Ellie was born on her due date of 30th march this year.
She was 6lb 8oz at birth & weighed last week at 32 weeks she was 15lb 3oz.
She was weaned onto 3 meals a day with 4 bottles but due to illness has had to be re-weaned & is now on 2 meals. She loves little star yoghurts & cauliflower & brocolli cheese mixed with baby rice.
She says da da & ba & ta & what sounds like hiya & when she's crying I get mama with the 2 hands going!
Sitting unaided & crawling backwards-weirdo! She attempts to pull herself up from lying & is getting there.
Good to see you on again xx

Sarah dont worry, Lucas isnt crawling or talking or pulling himself up or anything. He is clapping but thats about it. That and sitting. He's started moving his bum when sitting up so I think he is going to be a shuffler.
Oh and Lucas born 21st March by section, 10 days late weighing 8lbs 15 and now weighing 20lbs 1!

honeslty dont worry. When we (well me anyway) say they are talking we dont mean conversations. Its just like when i say wave bye bye...she waves and says ba ba !!!! could be saying bye bye or could just be coincidence... also when I give her something she says ta.... its just parrot fashion really.
She is sitting but not attempting to pull herself up etc.. she moves all over by rolling and shuffling but thats only because she is so desperate to get to things and play with her brothers. She shouts a lot too. This is because in our house you have to shout to be heard. She was so funny yesterday. She had my mates phone in her hand and she put it to her head (aiming at ear) and started really shouting into it.... me thinks she sees me talking into it far to much. Then she was BF from me and I was telling the same mate a tale...it involoved me talking loud etc.. Amelia came off the boob and shouted at me for about 10 secs then went back on. If we had understood baby talk I am sure she said ....shut the hell up I am trying to have my dinner....
All babies are s different. I with 5 can vouch for that. Dont worry if Aimee not doing things others are. Its normal. TBH I have had an early walker and I hated it. She caused all sorts of hell. She was born 24th Feb so was up and away at Xmas and the tree had to be nailed to the wall and no dec till about half way up as found her with a bauble smashed and pieces in her mouth and a cut hand. They get into places that they should not for their age.
She will develop in her own time.
I will tell you a true story....I am one of 4. 2 sisters above me and 1 brother below. My 2 older sisters only have 16 months apart. Annette the elder and Jane. When Jane wasdue to go to nursery they wanted to send her to remedial school as she had not spoken, hardly walked anywhere (even though she could) and just came across as a bit slow. However, mum knew different. Annette did everything for her. Jane just had to point and Annette would run and get her a drink, dummy etc.. Jane infact was highly intelligen and went on to get a first honours degree in Eng and American Literature. A tale to behold to prove that no matter when they talk, walk etc.. its no indication of their potential brightness. Relax, enjoy her and she will soon be running around and you will wonder why you wanted to rush to this milestone..lol!!!

Hi,
I am Debbie 38 (like dee dee yuck) actually pretty near 39, I have Zarawho was 7 months last tuesday and was 7lb 2oz and now weighs 19lb7. She was 15 days late and arrived 11th April ( Supposed to be 27th March so I stayed on March board).
She is not doing too much either, so I wouldn't worry, she hit 7 months last Tuesday and got her 1st tooth and slept through the night on the same day, although has only managed till 6am since then. She sits up really well, and claps, and crawls on the floor on her tummy, but no pulling herself up at all, and no words whatsoever. Blows rasperries now tho.
She has 3 meals a day + yoghurt or fruit, loves strawberries or grapes and is still breastfeeding.
Debbie xx

I'm Zoe, 32 with Joseph (3 and a half) and Evie who was born 2 weeks early on 5th March by elective c section weighing 8lb and half an ounce! She's the proud owner of 2 teeth, can roll to where she wants to be and loves pinching Joe's toys. She's sitting unaided, clapping and waving and says mama, dada, oh oh (which we think is meant to be Joe!) hiya and bye bye. She has 3 meals and 3 bottles a day and loves finger food. Sleeps 12-13 hours a night and everyone comments on how content she is, makes me feel so proud!!

Hi I'm mary I'm 25 years old i have a little girl called Erin who is nearly 8 months old she was born on Mar 22nd weighing 8.14 she now weighs 17lb she has been slow at gaining weight but has now gone just above 25th centile very happy about that as i have turned into such a worrier since having her. I joined BE not long ago.
Erin learned to crawl last week hence why i haven't been on here as much because need to have eyes in the back of my head now. She is not saying much just baby babble, and da da and mama - although i don't think she knows that this means me and my oh i think its just noises!!
She doesn't clap or wave or stand up or anything yet.
She is on 3 meals a day and snacks and is loving her food which i am so pleased about because she never has taken much milk and this has always been a worry for me.

HI Sarah...
DOnt worry about aimee as Dee said they do develop at different stages, phoebe has only just started pulling herself up but can only stay there for about 10 seconds before she falls to her bum... she has no teeth and cant clap.
I also agree with Dee about the early walker. My first walked at around 9 1/2 - 10 months old and it was a nightmare, but he didnt go for the baubles, he used to have a little platic chair he used to stand on, so when i used to see him on it and he would give m a cheeky grin back I never thought anything of it, until I took the xmas tree down to find the little bugger was climbing up to get the choccies(that I had purposly put up high), he would carefully unwrapp them leaving the wrapper still on the tree!!!!! I know thats a bit different from early walking but he was always doing things he shouldnt be before then, but that always stays with me!!
You never know aimee might be one that just gets up and go x x x x x x
