Subject : What would you do???

Hello all im just looking for some advice from someone who has been through this or someone who hasnt but can offer some advice lol!!!
To cut the long story short im a single mum to my ds whose 14mths in that time ive received hardly a thing from his dad,i contacted the CSA and for the first 3mths i got money each month but my ex found a way round that by stopping work and going onto IS so now i get nothing...this all came to a head and words were spoken...so i got the odd pack of nappies and batch of socks, which i know his mum buys NOT him!this was confirmed when i told him via Email(we have no real contact)that Benjamin was in a certain size nappy and his mum got the wrong size!!!she admitted it!!!
Every week for the last few weeks when my mum has gone to collect Ben(he has him once a week on a sat for 4hrs at his parents,he still lives there!)he hasnt been there(if at all?!?!)and this sat my sister drove past a pub in town and who should she see stood outside smokong?well you have probably guessed!
We went to collect Ben and told his mum just why...hes always saying he wants to see his son more yet he finds going the pub more important then spending the few hours a week he has his son actually with him!!!!
Now heres my question...can i now stop my son going there?my mum was cross and said to his mum that Ben wouldnt be coming for awhile, and she just said ok we will leave it at that then!!!so letting them make the first move now!i have no contact with any of them, its childish but the way they wanted it and im sick of all the constant rows so its easier this way!!!
Well thats it really!!!he doesnt seem to cherish the moments he has with his son nor provide for him so why should he get to play the perfect dad and see him?! i know im abit bitter at the moment but am i in the right?what would any of you do if you were in the same situation? thanks in advance...oh and ive changed my username as all this talk of posts coming up worried me as this subject matter is abit tense and my ex is a pc whizz and im sure could easily find me somehow if he hasnt already!anyway nothing said that isnt truth!!!!.....

hi hun. soz 2 hear bout ur situation. u sound like u r doing a great job by urself n if ur dick of an ex(sorry!) doesnt want 2 cherish all those wonderful moments or even see them u have every rite 2 b the way u r wiv them!
Leas dad let Lea down 3 times wen he was supposed 2 b seeing her n i gave him 1 last cahnce n luckily at the mo he is seeing her wen hes supposed 2 but yet he doesnt pay that much interest in her n doesnt provide 4 her at all! He has jus bin made redundant but even wen he was at work i had 2 keep on at him 2 buy her 2 things!!

Im sure 1 day he will realise wot he has missed out on n at the end of the day it is his lost. Its hard 2 understand how a man can not b interested in his own child isnt it?!
hopefully he will realise soon n start 2 make an effort but if u have given chances n hes let u down then u have everyrite 2 not let him c ur lo really, i sed the same to my ex but luckily is gettin his act 2getha!

You do wot u feel is rite hun as in the future atleast u can say u gave him chances but he didnt take them so is not ur fault. u do wot u think is best 4 urself n ur lo.
If u wana chat u no where i am lol, hope u sort things out xx
