Subject : New Daily chat for us Junies!!! All welcome!!!

HI All, I hope you don't mind me starting a new thread for our daily chats! The other one was getting so long and there seems to be more & more Junies coming back on here at the moment! So big welcome to you all!!!!

As Karen stated we should have a password to come on here I think "no bitches!" would be a good one and also a bouncer or two, lol!

I have copied the last few posts onto here so that we know where we are! Speak to you all soon!!!

HI Sukina! And you are more than welcome to join us here! this is the friendly forum and I am sure if anyone has something to post we will all be grown up enough to respect the fact that we all have different ways or doing thing and opions and we will still all get on, lol not like the baby forum at the moment.

What meds is Kai on? Ashton also has reflux and an intolorance to cows milk protien so is on prescription milk and can't have any dairy products till he is two!

Ashton is also loving weaning and have now started giving him 3 meals a day as of today! He is getting on really well, but a little more sleepy than normal - do you just think its him adjusting to his food?

Don't worry about catching up on the posts - just everyday stuff really about what we have been up to each day! Hope to see you on here more oftern! xxx

Junies daily catchup! Everybody welcome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL Sukina -I only read the last 10 posts before I joined in cos there were just too many pages! Anyway I think it was an illicit love affair between Elaine and Tammi before I rumbled them!

Meant to say - typical Lee - having to post the same thing 3 times to make sure we knew she was going!

Tracey - but really, stop the bragging - I can muster enough energy for about once every two weeks at the moment - where do you lot get the willpower from?! Maybe it's cos I'm older and definately NOT trying for no 5! Poor dh.....

Got to go feed Reiss now before bed (him not me!)xx

I'll second that Katie!

How you feeling hon? And how did you do your wrist? I know the feeling about typing one handed - not cos I've done my wrist in but because I always have my little limpet in one of my arms!xx

Hi Girls!
Not posted for a while as I have gone back to work already! I am actually kind of enjoying being back at the moment, but think it may just be a honeymoon period and will probably hate it next week! Especially as I have to leave Olly with the childminder next week and will have to get up V early to get both me and him sorted. I suppose OH will do his usual and just sort himeself out!

Better go, bell has just gone for registration!

Jules the thought of work just horrifies me - glad you're enjoying being back though. I think I'm just incredibly lazy truth be known!

Luckily I'm not going back as I started my own beauty therapy biz from home and as my dh now works days (was on permanent nights til recently) I can't see clients so that's me at home with the littlies yay! I'm actually doing hosting for a local launguage school and I have Italian tutors or students to rent out our two spare rooms, so that's my little contribution. Takes a lot of work cooking and cleaning and organising etc but it's easier for me to do than actual proper work!

As Tammi said, a big welcome to all the Junies who are coming back on here - it's great our forum is being used so much - it used to be so quiet on here and as already said, no bitchiness unlike the 'other side'!

Well, today I'm off to the RAF museum in Hendon with my boys and a friend with her dd. Then tonight I'm going to carve a pumpkin and do a little halloween 'scary dinner' for my 4yr old ds. Not going trick or treating cos loads of OAPs around here.

Loubielou you made me laugh with your excitement about halloween. You sound more excited than your girls, have fun!

Hope Tracey's having a good time down in my neck of the wood, Lee's coping without Tinternet and Elaines finding some peace.

Updates please -what's going on with all the other Junies?xx

Karen,
Thanks for the welcome, will try to post more often, when I have my frees in school.

We are doing nothing this weekend, although we are trying to sell our house at the moment and have a viewing. I know its really the wrong time but we have had an offer on another house accepted and have only 2 weeks to sell before it goes back on the market!

Karen: Where abouts do you live? I am a teacher at a Jewish school in Mill Hill, so quite close to to Hendon.

Jules and Olly

P.s. I am not Jewish for anyone wondering.

Hey big welcome back to Caz & Jule and also Victoria! Seems all the June mummies are finally coming back! This forum is so much better than the baby one at the moment anyway!

Jules well done for going back to work! I am suppose to be going back in March but between us I am not going back! For starters it would mean leaving the house at 7.45am with Ashton and we wouldn't be home till 18.15! Which is such a long day for him, plus we wouldn't really be much better off with me working by the time we pay nursery fees and with all the problems that Ashton has had with feeding my doctor actually reccommended that I didn't go back!!!! I am so pleased as I love being at home with him all the time!
Plus we are currently trying for number 2 so if that happens we certainly won't be able to afford childcare!

Well done to everyone still bf! I am sooo proud of you all, onlu wish that I cold have done it for longer! But at the end of the day I did what was best for my boy and him being healthy is more importnant!

Caz do you know what you have done to your back? I hope that you are getting it seen to as I can only imagine it will get worse the heavier Jaina gets!

So who has started weaning so far and how is it going? Karen Ashton is just like Reiss, he loves his food! He had apple & baby rice for breakfast this morning and then is going to have butternut squash and tatties for lucnch an dsome fruit for tea!

Please will someone tell the fairy baby to f**k off it does my head in!!!!

Tracey hope you are coming back on soon we miss you! Lee will be going mad I bet with no internet connection!
Elaine in case you pop on later for a catch up, we all miss you! Hope you are ok!

For all the Junies that have just returned we are going to be doing a Secret Santa if you want to join? I will post on here soon with regards to it but basically I will be drawing names out of a hat and e-mailing you all who you have to buy for then we can post them to each other in time for Xmas, by the way its for yummy mummys not babys as they will get loads at Xmas!

Hi Tammi

I have no idea my back has always been a bit funny but its just got gradually worse also my cockyx hurts think that stems from my epidural i had to have when having Jaina.

I went to docs and mentioned it last week but she said it will get better grrrrrrrrrrrr! so have another appt today at 5pm lets see what they say eh!

Afternoon ladies

Tammi- Kai is on Ranitidine and Domperidone, he has just had his doses adjusted as he has put on weight. That on top of the weaning is really doing the trick with his reflux.

We are both still poorly with colds although today i have not given Kai any calpol and he seems to be surviving if not a little grumpy!
I know a couple of the Junies are trying for babies if not already pregnant, i am so pleased for you all and send you tons of baby dust. I would like another one but i'm not sure i'd cope. Kai is a real diamond and i am so lucky but only just surviving with him. Hubby says he wants to try again in about a year.

I am so fuming with the hospital. After my GP attempting to fit the coil and not managing it (aparently as i have not given birth naturally it is not easy) although he didn't mention that until he had had a bloody good go at it (ouch!)
Anyway after waiting and hour and a half to be seen while having to feed Kai in the waiting room they took me in to say "oh well we wont bother trying, we'll just refer you to day surgery to have it done".
I said to her that if it was under general then there was no point in me having it as i would want it taken out in a years time. She sent me across to get an appointment only for them to tell me that i had been refered to have it done under general, did she not listen to a word i said??? AAAAARRGGGHHH!!!

Anyway rant over, what's everyone else up to?

Well girls, just about survived the day at the RAF museum - it was really good actually apart from the fact that Reiss bawled all the way back to drop my friend off, then all the way back to mine and then all the way through his bath - aaagggh. He really is a miserable little bugger at times. Good job he's so cute is all I can say.

MIL has dropped round unexpectedly - reckons she's been waiting outside since 1pm and I got in at 5.45pm. Hmmm. I have me doubts methinks! Anyway, she's now ensconsed watching all the soaps at top volume so I can still hear what's going on in the office on the other side of the house!

Jules - is that your real name btw? It's my 4yr old ds' name! I live in Harrow now but lived in Camden before so know London pretty well. I used to go through Mill Hill on my way to Bounds Green to visit my friend when she lived there. In fact I went through there today to the museum. Don't know the school where you teach though. I did wonder whether you were Jewish actually for the simple reason I don't think I've ever met any Jewish women on here, well, not that they told me anyway!

It's really great that so many old junies are coming back - this'll be the best forum to be on without doubt!

Hi everyone, I'm still popping in from time to time but feel a bit out of place now without Sienna.

My son is 19 months and was in the born in april 07 forum but not many people use that one.

I'm doing ok, we are getting out and about with Nathan loads, he's been really sensitive since we lost Sienna so he's been getting plenty of one on one time with us.

We take him swimming, to soft play and he spends time with my nieces and friends with babies.

Im due back to work in December from maternity leave for Sienna which is a bit scary.

Good to catch up with you all x

Hi Diana, as far as I am concerned and I sure everyone else will agree, you are still a June mummy and are always welcome on here!
Glad to hear that your son is getting on ok, it must be so hard for all of you still. Is he enjoying swimming? Ashton goes every week now and loves it. Last week he was sticking his toungue in the water and kept putting his head under all the time!
Hope to see you on here more oftern!

Hi Girls, feel like a stranger to you all now I hardly ever post. I do read most nights but don't get chance to post.

Had a scare yesterday had to take Libby to hospital, she's been sitting really well and gawd knows why but I was sat with her and for some reason I turned from her and she toppled and cracked her head on the hearth, a million things going through my head, why did I turn? Why did I have her so close to hearth anyway and felt like such a bad mummy.
She was fine though and just had a small mark which fortunately hasn't even bruised.

Can't believe some of you are trying for the next one already, good luck to you all though, hope it works out for you. fat chance of that with us, only done the business once since Libby was born! She's in our room still and is such a light sleeper and never sleeps in the day either and it's too cold downstairs (or maybe I'm just getting to old and prefer the bed!) Or maybe I'm just trying to find a million and one excuses not to ha!!!

Yes f.off fairy baby!!!

Started weaning Libby on Monday, she just has an icecube of puree'd veg, fruit or baby rice at lunch at mo and still breastfeeding too. She'll be bouncing off the walls tomorrow coz I bought loads of haribo sweets for halloween and we never had any, so been scoffing bags of the stuff all day!

Em and Libby x

Hi all
Hope everyone is ok! I come on here fairly regularly, but don't post that much! My memory has gone to mush too & after long posts i can't remember who's written what - lol!!

Dylan is doing v well (18 weeks tomorrow)! We've not started weaning as he's shown no signs at all. Although he has cut his first tooth already!! Its not completely through, but not far off!

Am meant to be going back to work in March, but am NOT looking forward to it at all. Am trying to think of something (anything) i can do from home - all ideas welcome!

Saw some of your LO's halloween outfits...way too cute! Tammi the photo on Facebook with all those kiddies in was fab - is that at a parent & baby group!

We've not taken Dylan swimming yet ( i certainly will not get into a swimming costume)!! But he really loves the bath, he kicks & splashes! May get DH to take him soon!

Its my b'day today & Dylan got me a lovely Tatty Teddy with Special Mum on it - am v pleased as this is my first "mummy" card & present!

Hope everyone has a good day - lets hope the weather brightens up a bit - it was crap as hell yesterday!!
Sarah xx

Hello girls!!! Welcome to all the junies making a comeback!!!! As karen says this is the best forum to be on!!!!
Well not much happening today, Pete & Ashton are watching match of the day hence why I am on here. Just been busy making some lentil soup for tea! Smells fab!!!

Got a new pushchair, well one from ebay on Friday and I love it!!!! Its a loola so that I can have Ashton facing me all the time! I hated his other pushchair as I couldn't see him when we were out, felt like I had lost my baby! Can't wait to go into town on Monday with him in it!

Em glad you and Dylan are both ok! The best thing about our swimming group is that we have all just had babies so doesn't really matter that we don't look our best in our swimsuits yet! The photo of them all isn't a mum & toddler group really just a group of us that either went to antinatal together or met after having our babies at baby massage or food group. We met up every week to go swimming on Wednesdays and Thursdays for coffee. Just thought it would be fun to dress them all up! They also have a late halloween party to go to on the 14th November!

Cazz how did you get on at the docs with your back?

Suki, Ashton is on similar meds too. He is doing really well with weaning and loves his food! Gonna try him on some lentil soup for tea tonight! This will be the first thing I have "made" for him, everything else has just been tastes of one food ie: butternut squash, carrotts, sweet pots!

Who else from June 08 is trying for another baby????

Karen can't believe your MIL would sit outside waiting for you for that long???

Elaine - Come back we all miss you too!!!!!!!

Elaine, I'll second that, come back!!! We won't tell anyone you are here Happy

Can't belive all these babies are getting so big!! Doesn't seem like five minutes since we were all moaning about being overdue (did any of them turn up on time?) and now they are eating proper food! We haven't started weaning yet. Barney is only just 17 weeks and he isn't really showing much intrest so I'm not in any rush. May have to start soon though, last time he was weighed he had hardly put anything on, he is too nosy to feed in the day properly WhateeeEver! so if he still hasn't gained much next time he is weighed we are going to start weaning.

Tammi, It sounds very peaceful at your house! Rich hates football so I am spared Match of the Day. We are waiting for the Grand Prix to start, just hope Millie lets us watch it!!

Cazz, I hope you managed to get your doctors appointment, did he manage to sort anything or is your back still bad?

Suki, hopefully you and Kai are over your cold now, I hate being ill with lo's to look after!!!

Hope everyone else and lo's are well

Hi everyone

Dh has taken Reiss out so I was left in relative peace with Jules, nearly 5 (on Friday eek!)

I really fancied a nice long bath but knowing that would be met with 'can I come in?' from Jules, I thought I'd pre-empt him and tell him we were going to have a 'spa' afternoon!

You should have seen us - we had lemonade (weekend treat for him), halloween chocolate, crisps and magazines. We sat in the bath, both of us with hydrating masks on with cucumber eye gel and lip stuff reading our magazines - or rather, I was trying to read mine while Jules kept dropping his in the bath and asking me what something said every 6.3 seconds! I've told him to give me 5 minutes peace then I'll read him Horrid Henry (again)!

I feel kind of relaxed, but didn't do half the things I wanted to do like dye my hair, shave my bits etc (too many questions to be answered!) Methinks it's nearly time to give up bathing together - too sad, but at least I've got Reiss for another few years yet!

Diana, lovely to see you popping in, as Tammi said, you'll always be a June mummy. Sienna will also always be a June baby and with us in spirit. As Nathan is leading the way, he can guide the rest of our babies through to toddlerhood!xx

Sarah - Happy Birthday! I love those Tatty Bear - we must have bought nearly every card going and between us we have a fair amount of bears, photo frames etc!

As for everyone else - hope you've managed to have some peace and quiet today and enjoy your Sunday evening.xx
