Subject : I've started ...

I have officially washed three lots of baby's clothes and ironed two of them !!

It still doesn't seem real though - it's like I'm doing someone else's washing !!
Quite hard to iron too as everything is so teeny weeny and the scratch mitts - they dont even fit around the washing line they are so small. I was sure everything had shrunk at first !!

I dont know why I started as I am only going to be bored on maternity, but I was washing all my labour/hospital bag bits ready, which didn't really amount to even half a wash so got a bit carried away and now I only have 3 more washes left and everything will have been washed !!!

(Minus the bedding that we are still to buy).

Bit of a pointless post really but thought I would share !!! xxx

haha I thought same about scratch mits, I ended up sitting them up over the top end bits on the drying rack as they kept falling off otherwise!

U r very good ironing; I never iron unless I am going out somewhere fabulous so baby's clothes not getting ironed either lol. I am really anal about hanging everything out straight away, shaking it and hanging it perfectly so I don't have to iron lol! Also, I actively don't buy stuff that needs ironing hehe

Good idea getting it all washed even b4 mat leave, just in case ur early. The thing is it all looked so soft and nice when it came out of packet and now some of it doesn't look as fluffy - boo! Am so not the best washerwoman in the world tho!

know what you mean about everything being so small.

my mum bless her has started washing my things for me and looking at them all hanging up can't believe how tiny it all is!

sure i won't think baby is tiny during labour though!!

On the subject of scratch mitts - have a close look at some of your babygros. I noticed the other day that some of mine have an extra little foldy-over pocket thing on the end of the sleeves - after scratching my head for ages (I'm not very bright) I eventually realised they're little attached scratch mitts which just fold out over baby's hands. Ingenious!

34 weeks today Happy
