Hi,
OMG i live near ASDA too, Barmpton Lane!
I know exactly what you mean about baby groups within walking distance, they used to do baby massage at the education village (last year) not sure if they still do. Also i believe there are jolly babies classes at the new college on haughton road (my sis in law told me). There are not many groups in our area i dont think, and i think all the HV's are pretty rubbish.
How did Alfie get on with his imms? Joe has his first lot next tues, i'm dreading it, i hate stuff like that, i cried when Erin had her first lot.
E i cant believe you live so near me, what a small world!
Katie. x

Hi Bekkie,
I know the Ashbrook estate yes, we are actaully moving to Mistral Drive a week today! (so will be even closer) I'm, dreading the move just want to get in and sorted now.
HV's are crap, arent they? I remember when they came to talk to me about weaning Erin... rubbish. This forum is great for advice, i saw the post in baby re: weaning.. 9 weeks! Seems very early! We started weaning Erin at almost 5mnths, just couldnt wait any longer. I'm sure you will see signs in Alfie once he's ready.
Dont worry about being shy, think most people are in those kind of situations, have you been to the baby clinic on a thursday at St Andrews church?
Yes, we are at whinfield surgery, was there today for my and Joe's six week check up, do you go there too? Poor Alfie sounds like his 1st set of imms were awful, glad the 2nd lot were better, and i'm sure the 3rd lot will be fine too.
I work, well i'm on mat leave at the mo. I work at Orange (for my sins) Well i say work, i went on mat leave to have Erin in June2007, she was born in august, got pregnant again in november/dec, was due back at work in march08 but used all my annual leave so returned in may for 2 weeks then went back on mat leave!!! My boss must love me!!?? Ha!Ha! I'm hoping i wont be going to back to work, but with the credit crunch and the cost of living going up, i think i will have to, will only be part time though and not until next year. How about you?
X

Aw yeah i saw Carole a couple of times, she is so nice. My midwife was Cath, both times so that was good!
We are moving to a bigger house, yes. Our current house only has 2 bedrooms and now with the two babies we need 3 bedrooms. We are only moving bacause we have to, we sold our house to a personal friend so we were really lucky, i think we are the only people in the country that are moving! Ha!Ha! I now what you mean about being skint, we are too. My oh works at Cummins and they are going to make 86 people redundant, we are just hoping he is not one of them. A teacher, cool. What age group do you teach, i have a friend who teaches reception class, she loves it!
So you are going to have a second? I got pregnant again when Erin was 3 mnths old (not planned) being pregnant and having a baby to look after was very hard work, and i had what they call a normal pregnancy, and Erin is very good. Looking after the two of them is actually easier than i thought it would be (well so far anyway) i dont get a minute to myself like and feel like i need at least 4 pairs of hands but it's so worth it. Joe is a very different baby to what Erin was though, he is alot more demanding, she was happy to settle herself and slept through the night from 6 weeks! Joe is nearly there with the sleeping thing, goes from 9 until 5/5-30 he just cries alot. Maybe thats just boys though, what's your Alfie like? In a way i suppose it's a little easier with Joe as we arent paniced by every little thing like we were with Erin, i suppose you learn from experience.
I know it is great to chat to someone, maybe once we've moved and are settled we could meet up for a coffee? x

hi,
Sorry not been in touch for ages we have had no internet access in the new house, it's been a nighmare! NTL/Virgin had never been installed here so we had to wait ages for them to come and sort it out. I've been getting withdrawal symptoms from here and facebook!
Well we have finally moved, and the new house is lovely, just seem to be so busy. Hope you and lo are doing well?
How come you have deleted all your posts?
O and what on earth has been going on in baby, what has everyone been argueing about? Sounds like it got out of hand? It's a shmae some people have to get bitchy, surely everyone's allowed an opinion, isnt that the whole point of a forum, i dont know?
Did you find any good baby groups, we got a letter the other day from a nurse call sue? saying she is coming on dec 1st for a weaning talk, joe will only be 13 weeks old!!?? Whats the point in that, also it's the day after his baptism and we are planning a big party and i just know i'll be hungover, nightmare. I hardly ever drink but when i do, i really suffer.
How did it go with lo staying out? I'm so over protective, Erin has only stayed out once, when she was 11 months, and then when i was in labour with Joe oh's parents came to ours as Erin was already asleep. I know she will be fine staying out, i just hate it. Silly i know. Hope Lee Evans was good, my oh loves him, we just couldnt afford it, what with moving and everything.
Well thats it for now,
Katie. X

Hey up chuck,
How was the move? You in and happy? Just assumed you were busy moving know what we were like living out of cardboard boxes for the first month!!
Baby forum was a little funny for a few days and I just kept me head down. Some of the comments were really quite scarey makes you frightened to say what you think.
We've been on holiday to Scotland since we last 'spoke' had a great time but he hasn't slept properly since!
Deleted me post as the fall outs from baby were about whether we really know each other and it kinda freaked me out a bit as I looked and realised I'd put practically me whole life on the page and got a bit scared-nowt to do with you or anything!
Have found a music class in Ingelby Barwick on a Tuesday morning which is brill and I'm trying to go to St Andrew's more on a Thursday -we should meet up there one week if you like?
Lee Evans was ok and lo had a great time at Grandma and Grandads-didn't smile at me for the whole of the Sunday we picked him up!!
Anyway sorry about the late reply and deleting stuff but glad you're back on line and drop us a line!
So how's Jo has he had his 3 lot of injections yet? We had Sue out for the weaning talk-little with short brown hair? Have you started yet? At least you'll know when and if Joe's ready for weaning-will be asking for help on that one!!
Becks x:D
