Subject : Am a a complete loss, just don't know what to think!!!

This is month 7 for me and between march and june I did'nt ov, blood tests proved this, and had cycles between 24 and 15 days. Then the last 2 months felt different with definate pain around cd18 then bang on 14 days later af showed so had a 33 day and 31 day cycle.
Started doing opk's on sunday 5th oct cd10 and got -ve result. Got -ve again on the monday, but by tues was gettin 2 definate lines. Have had nigly tummy pains on and off all week. Was still gettin 2 lines of same strength on opk yesterday. Now today cd18 have only a faint 2nd line but had pink tinged discharge when I went to toilet, sorry tmi but it was defo pink with 2 tiny spots of red!!!!
am so upset as was going to have my bloods redone on friday to confirm ov, but now it looks like af is coming my way and is back to a messed up cycle of only 18 days. I just don't understand why I would get those opk results if no ov, Can you spot at ov, or maybe ov was last week when opk's were 1st +ve. If so why this pink discharge today????
I am so upaset with my stupid broken body, I don't know what to do or think!!!!

Oh dear... poor you! But chin up! I have no idea why that is happening to you and it must be SO frustrating! But the body works on hormones, which are affected by stress, illness, fatigue etc. Acupuncture and reflexology both are by all accounts, brilliant at sorting things like this out. You must have a hormonal imbalance for all that you have described to be happening. You can clearly have babies as from your name you have 3 already, so I wouldn't worry about it being anything other than hormones.
Where do you live? I am bored at work and so will do some research on reflexology in your area. I have friends who swear by it! x

Now honey dont worry here's a bit on both for you. xx.

Ovulation Spotting as a Secondary Fertility SignOvulation Spotting is defined as a very light bleeding that may accompany ovulation - though it is rather uncommon fertility indicator and can be easily missed (even if it occurs). Unless you are fertility charting and observing daily changes in cervical mucus, you may not even be aware of this secondary fertility sign.

The source of "ovulation spotting" is traced to the rupture of the ovarian follicle when the egg is released. When you ovulate, luteinizing hormone causes the surface of the ovarian follicle to weaken and disintegrate. This leads to the formation of a hole, or stigma, through which the egg will ultimately "escape" into one of the fallopian tubes. At this "midcycle moment", a residual trace of blood may accompany ovulation when the stigma ruptures.

The trace amount of blood that may appear due to the rupture of the follicle will not be red (like menstrual blood), but will rather exhibit a brownish or pinkish color. For example, you may see just a faint streak of pinkish blood intermingled with cervical fluids during your daily CM check.

During this "fertile phase" of your cycle, cervical mucus will likely be transparent and stretchy, like egg white. If you do happen to discover a small amount of blood at this time, note this light bleeding on your fertility chart as a possible indicator of ovulation. If this is indeed O-spotting, you should see your bbt temperature rising shortly thereafter. This bleeding should not last long, and if it persists for more than a few days, contact your doctor.

Ovulation spotting should not be confused with implantation bleeding (which will typically take place about a week after you ovulate). Implantation bleeding (also typically characterized by a light brown or pink spotting) is caused by the fertilized egg burrowing into the endometrium. While ovulation spotting may be viewed as a natural fertility indicator, implantation bleeding is considered an early pregnancy sign.

It should be emphasized that ovulation spotting is not one of the more common or reliable indicators of fertility. Like mittelschmerz (or midcycle pains), you should be aware of the possibility that these fertility signs may appear, even though many women will never experience these physiological symptoms.

To pursue a visual metaphor, there are a number of other ways to "spot ovulation" - or at least predict when ovulation will take place. Along with using a basal thermometer, you can observe daily changes in the texture and color of cervical mucus, as well as follow the rise and fall of the position of the cervix iteself. Into your daily fertility charting rituals, you can also selectively integrate effective testing methods like an ovulation microscope, urine ovulation tests, or a digital fertility monitor to anticipate when you will be at peak fertility.

Thanks ladies I am trying sooo hard not to get stressed and just to relax and after the last 2 months was hoping things were settling down and becoming more regular. I can only wait and see if af arrives or not. if not will still go for blood tests friday. I live in a small town called Bungay. It's very near to the town of Beccles, and Lowestoft is 12 miles away and Norwich 15 miles away. Thanks again for your advice and support. I always feel better for having a chat on here. xxxxx

Katyjo thank you so much for the info, it has restored some of my pma. It was very kind of you, especially when you are having such an emotional and difficult time yourself. Wishing you all the best and hope things go ok for you at your scan. xxxx

OK - I think I should move up near you! Have found a lady who does reflexology in Norwich, in her home, or she does home visits. 50 mins for £25 - it is double the price in London!
Here is her web site - why not call her

And I just found this on reflexology:
Kathryn
I had been trying to conceive for approximately two and a half years and blood tests showed that I was not ovulating at all. I was referred to Exeter fertility unit where I was diagnosed with classic polycystic ovaries and put on a course of Clomaphine. I had two cycles of various strengths and was told that it was not working. I was about to have a series of hormone injections and ovarian drilling when I decided to try reflexology. I proceeded to have five treatments in total and just before my sixth treatment because things felt different I decided to take a pregnancy test. To our surprise and delight we found that I was in fact pregnant…..KATHRYN

Tina
I had been trying to conceive for three years. I’d taken the fertility drug Clomaphine for six months because I was not ovulating but still didn’t become pregnant. I heard about Jane and reflexology and embarked on a course of treatment. On 28th November, three days after my period was due, and after only six sessions of reflexology, I discovered that I was pregnant. I could not believe the positive effect that reflexology had on my body and obviously what drugs and time could not do, reflexology did!….TINA

Yes, I don't think you have any reason to worry, hun! Mid-cycle spotting is quite common and doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong. As katyjo said, it can also be a sign of ovulation. I had pink-tinged CM myself this month for a couple of days at the time I ov'd and it definitely didn't turn into AF. Don't panic! Sounds perfectly normal to me, love Happy.
