Subject : Lloyds 'Emma's Diary' gift pack...

Hi Girls

I got a leaflet from Emma's Diary through the post today for a free Lloyd's mum to be gift pack, i got excited, LOVE a freebie lol. But after racing down to chemist to pick it up, racing back up road and ripped it open....what a huge dissapointment lol...
Its all just leafelest!!!! and a tiny sachet of bio oil (enough to cover my belly button lol), a nipple pad to try, bag of redcurrants and an argos sale catalogue, how crap!!!

Ok moan over :)

Awwww, well thanks for the warning! I'd have made a special effort to find a Lloyds chemist just to pick mine up so I'll think I'll bin it now!

I've just joined Tesco's mother and baby club, got the info through at the weekend and it looks great! You get a wee parking disc for your car, lots of money off vouchers, including a pamper pack worth £10 when you purchase a pair of newborn huggies (not bought it yet but it looks good) and really useful booklets.

Did you fill in the form where they want all your details?

I stupidly put my phone number and email on it although i did tick the boxes to say dont contact me and since they we've been getting loads of junk mail calls and spam emails - they even say on the phone thats where they got my details and each time i ask to be taken off the calling register. GRRRRRR!!!

Anyone who's about to get one - put fake contact details on it!!!

Glad I didn't bother with mine then.

I second the Tesco recommendation - you get over £12 of vouchers when you join the mother & baby club. The free Huggies gift pack (supposed to be worth £12 on its own) when you buy Huggies newborn nappies is a bit of a let-down though - it's just a basket with a pack of babywipes in, basically. Still, it's free.

With or without vouchers, I found Tesco really good value for baby essentials.

I had the lloyds pack too - exactly the same stuff in it!!

Do we get a bounty pack as well? Just wondering as I haven't been given any form or been told about it yet?

Thanks

i made a special effort to find a lloyds and was bitterly disappointed ... then got two bounty ones in hospital which were a bit better but not by much ... tho the miniature sudocrem is sweet! other than that every free pack places give out seems to have the same old stuff in it! (mostly paperwork which i had already!)

oh well!
