Am I the only one whos baby (still in denial hes 1 years old) mysteriously gets dirty nails?

My oh thinks its from crawling about but even before he started crawling he got it. It makes me feel like im a right minger mummy!! I have to cut sams nails once a week as they grow so fast and get so dirty. I wash his hands loads through the day but the phantom 'dirt' gets up there!!

oh yes!!! Chloe somehow got dirt up her nails at a matter of days old and still gets it up there now!!! no idea how on earth it gets there! i cut hers at least twice a week and if i manage to get rid of it then its back the same day!!! wouldn't mind but she doesn't even crawl yet!!

My lo is 16 months and always has dirty nails but in my defence I think he is just a minging boy no matter how much i clean him he always looks like a scruff.
