Subject : My cat has just died :(

Hi girls

Not pregnancy related, but i am soo upset and want to get it out..
My cat was 17 years old, had her since she was 6 weeks old when i was 6 years old. She lives at my mum's but she's still my cat, we have her daughter too, she is 16 and she will miss her sooo much. My mum phoned me when i was on the high street going to the bank and i got in such a state, i sat in car til i tidied my face up a bit. I know Sparkey has been ill for past few weeks, shes been getting a bit senile and walking around and round and crying, so its not a huge shock, but doesnt make it any easier, were going to go the woods tonight and bury her. Thanks for listening to me.

RIP Sparkey, I will miss you always :(

Sharon x

I'm so sorry to hear that. It must be so hard. It is devastating when a pet dies - they're so much part of the family. x

oh i had to reply because i know exactly how you feeling right now. It awful loosing a well loved pet and companion. My lovely cat was killed on the road a few years back.....she was my friend, sleeping on my bed, keeping me company, never scratched always friendly and loving. I was devestated, infact reading your story made me cry. So I send you big hugs...just remember all the lovely years you shared with your cat.

Aw hunny, I'm so sorry. I know how devastating it is to lose a pet. I dread the day when the time comes for my 2 cats as they're my babies!

RIP Sparkey xxx

Thanks girls, its soo upsetting. Must have been hard for my mum, she sat with her for 45 mins before she took her last breathe :(
My little sister is also 17 and she is going to be really devasted, she's had her since she was born. It is like losing a family member eh? I totally dread the day me and hubbies dog and cat die, westie is only 2 and kitten has just turned 1, so probably have along time yet, but you get so attached.
I cant stop crying, i fix myself up and try to push it out my mind, but everytime i think about it, im in floods, i look a right state! Dread tonight when we all go to bury her, but if i dont go, i will regret not saying goodbye.
xx

Im so sorry to hear your sad news. Im sure she had a wonderful comfortable life with you and its nice that she is now at peace. My dog of 17 years had to be put to sleep a couple of years ago as he too went senile and disorientated etc Sometimes its harder when they stay longer than their bodies intended! Hope you feel better soon xxx

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat, its awful when a pet dies, especially one who has been a part of your family for as long as Sparkey was. It sounds like she was well loved, and I'm sure she will be at peace now.

Thinking of you,
Caroline xxx

My Mum's cat died the other day, she was about 17 years old. Just remember that they were fortunate to have a lovely long, happy life... It is very sad when they go but at least they are no longer in any pain .... Hope your ok .... xxxxx
