Yey... I'm 30 weeks today... 9 weeks maximum for me too... If they don't come before, my consultant wants to get them out between 8-9 weeks time!!! Please let them come slightly early as i'm having trouble with sciatica, breathing, weeing etc etc etc...

Am so big now, i'll try and post another double bump photo today!!! You will all be in shock!!!

Take care...

Just 50 days for me now, how scary and exciting!

So not organised still in the nursery, all that's in there is a chest of drawers and boxes of stuff! Most of it is still in the loft...although I will get the buggy and moses basket from my Mum's in the next 2/3 wks, so I can be ready for bubba from 36 wks just in case!

Just need to keep that BP in check so I can finish work when I want to, rather than when I have to!

Can't believe it's all so close now, argh!!!!

OMG, 31 weeks yesterday.
In work today and a few people say I have grown in last week and that I won't be go full term. I know myself I have grwon as had to go to mothercare at weekend to get work trousers as other pair (under bump) were way too small!!

Nursery is still an ongoing DIY project/disaster! Just don't ask hubbie about why putting things together takes so long!

On the plus side, I had a blitz with the hospital bag and acquired a few things. Struggling to find pj's/nightie for after the birth that open at front for potential breastfeeding. Our mothercare didn't have much in and I reckon I will still be a good size after the birth (now up to a 20) so the cheaper shops don't go past 16-18 etc. I reckon, the next 9 weeks will see further growth and I wouldn't be surprised if I finish up a 22-24. (Little sis exploded near the end up to a 32!)

I'm getting quite excited and absolutely petrified, still not of the birth, read the chapters and don't seem bothered yet. its more once baby is home - what do I do???

I've still got 6 weeks at work and its really busy and a bit stressful. Getting very tired during the week, but restless as I am usually always on the go. weekends are fine but sleep is a thing of the past!

Slattie

I bought some cheap nightys that open down the front matalan for £4 each a bargain. I've tested them and yes i can pop my boob out for feeding! They do big sizes aswell i bought size 22-24 as i'm a big girl anyway on top of being pregnant with twins.

Have a look there!

I'm going to give birth in one of hubby's workshirts, I think. He has a few which are a bit knackered so I'm going to get the last bit of wear out of them. Will also take a dressing gown so that I don't have to walk about showing my (currently very wobbly) thighs off.

I'm getting so excited and emotional now (emotional in a good way). I cannot wait to meet my baby, this little person whose knees and feet I can now play with when they're in the right position. I want to know if s/he looks like my hubby, and I want to see if s/he shows any signs of recognising my voice.

52 days left for me in theory, and a maximum of 62 Happy

Silvalady - Are you planning on breastfeeding your twins??? Blimey you're brave...

I've decided to go straight to bottles, the quicker my milk dries up the better!!! I have trouble with flat nipples (TMI) so my lo couldn't breastfeed, I tried expressing for the first week but was far too painful... My body is always letting me down!!!

But thanks for the info on Matalan pj's - I'll go and have a look, need some nice ones to make me feel better after the birth...

Hi sara

Yes i'm planning on giving breast feeding a go, with my last 3 i didnt even give it a try just went straight to bottle, so as these are my last babies i want to try it and see how it goes, if it's too much hard work or cant manage then i'll stop.

The midwife told me that it is possible to b/f twins, bet she's not tried it though!

Thanks Silvalady for the Pj's advice - Matalan here I come!!!

Start ante-natal tonight, I know I'm quite late on for starting at 31 weeks, but just wasn't in the right frame of mind a few weeks ago.
Not enjoying the back pains att he moment which according to the books have symptoms like sciatica. Also got swollen fingers (but not feet!). They are actually sore to bend and even type on the laptop!

Loving the kicks and its bum literally sticking out every night just as I get comfy in bed! Belly button literally popped out last night, that was really freaky so it was pushed straight back in! Its having a right old bop in me now and has actually become even more active in last week or two!

Starting to feel sickly quite a bit and actually lost my appetite. Struggling to finish meals as just no space for food and have lost couple of pounds over last 2 weeks (hurrah as less to loose afters!)

But starting to get quite giddy by the whole experience, still not getting the full on maternal feelings but emotions are getting better of me at times!

i got all josephs old neutral baby clothes out soooooo tiny compared to now! have washed some and ready to iron!
finding it increasingly difficult to run round after my 18 month old son though which makes me feel a bit guilty!
i too remember the crippling exhaustion of night feeds (joseph was BF and fed every 2 hours) and wondering how i will cope with him whilst having a newborn and being so tired.
BUT (and its a very big but for me) i wont feel ill anymore!
pregnancy makes me feel ill all the time for 9 months. i feel worse this time and the heartburn does not let up day or night. even gaviscon is failing at moment.

however 9 weeks to go and midwife said new baby could be early like joseph was (1 week). i really dont want to reach due date.

still got no double buggy or car seat but pretty much everything else getting sorted incuding the house just the shower to install and re-tile etc (well not me but hubby lol)

im getting more and more exciting and dreaming about the birth which is never too bad but the babies are always girls and bloody huge!

i want to know what my baby is a boy or a girl and i cant wait for him/her to be born to find out!

just need names now........

defo starting to feel real and close now too yay!

Saw MW today again and asked about what position baby is in; she said bebe is lying head down and long too so sounds pretty good. Have gone from being smack bang in the middle of my growth chart graph (was personalised to your own weight and height too so good that is more tailored to you, I think) to being OVER and by a few little bits on the graph!

Started wondering if bebe is getting impatient now, what with getting in position and growing like a mad thing! Least I know she's mine, if she is impatient and antsy!

Can't believe have only one more MW appt at the clinic then she starts coming to my home from 36 weeks to do birth plan etc so that is exciting as is only another 4 and a bit weeks til then.

Was a bit gutted about antenatal classes as found out that the one class my hubby will miss (because he gets back from his 12 week stint the day AFTER) is the one on labour and delivery waaaa. I really wanted him to hear it all first hand but it isn't going to be possible now and am bit sad about that. MW said I will have to fill him in but I don't think that will be as good. O well, can't be helped I guess.

Hayley - have you managed to get nursery back now then??xxxx

I am 30 weeks on Friday and if I get OC again then they will induce me around 37 weeks.

My husband and I have just split up, he has left me with massive debts and I haven't even moved Violet (nearly 11 months) out of the bedroom to her nursery, I have just started my own business and will not start to make any money until next summer...he wont provide for us either...

Ended up in hospital this morning as I went to docs to get someone to check my BP (had pre eclampsia with first 2) and I just burst into tears etc so they packed me off to hospital to be checked over. All ok with blue bump, think I am just overtired and emotionally drained.

Fed up - I have lost the man who I thought was my rock, but in fact everything he said to me since meeting up was a lie.

aw Carolyn, I am so sorry. Really feel for you at the moment; have you got family or friends who are helping support you through this?

Thinking of you and know things will get better, in time. Take it easy on yourself and if you need to chat, I'm aways around and am sure loads of the other girls on here will be too

Lots of love and support

aw carolyn sorry to hear that hun
hear if you need to talk. hubbies will have to pay something because of the baby and lo due to it being the law. may take a while, meantime worth a chat with CAB to see if theres any benefits/help you may be entitled to.
