Subject : injections every day

I had an appointment at the hospital today as I'm 29 week.s. They started me on an injection I have to take everyday as I have a high BMI (there way of sayin I'm fat). I hate neddle's and when the midwife got it out to show me how to take it I burst into tear's. I cant do it myself, I can only just let other people do it to me. Is anyone else on them?

Oh hell Steph - That doesn't sound nice at all...

I don't think anyone enjoys injections or needles, I was worried enough when I had my Anti-D and thats just one injection...

What is the jab you have to have??? What is the point of them???

I hope they don't hurt and that you get used to them quickly...

Hi Steph

I have a high BMI aswell and no ones mentioned to me at any point about having injections for anything. What are they for exactly?

I also hate needles and injections so not on your own there! i am under consultant care at the hospital [ as having twins] but sometimes see the midwife at local doctors surgery, so i dont know if your the same but see if theres another midwife you can speak to!

Good luck, Yvonne 30+4

There to thin my blood they said. Dont hurt when the needle goes in but hurt like hell when needle out. Have to go for blood test's every 4 week's to check my platelet count and if it's low I have to have a c-s but I'd be put to sleep incase of blood a transfuion. I dont like that idea as no one would be aloud in room with meso my baby would be born into a room full of strangers and mummy asleep.
