Hi hun, ive got 3 weeks left and im still goin to uni which is bout a 20 min drive from home so i can c where ur comin from, im a bit panicky about my waters breaking in uni lol but the midwife reasurred me that u have 24 hours to get to a hospital after waters have broke. Try not to sit around and stay in the house because baby will stay put, staying active is the best thing u could do at this point hun.

Love Steph 37+1 xx

I didnt have a show. I woke up at 7.30am and was half out of bed to go to the loo when my waters broke. Total shock. I was in on my own because dh was on night shift so wasnt home yet - i wasnt due for another week. Anyway, nothing you can do about waters breaking (i always thought you would be able to hold it in or something but trust me you cant.) So, waddled through to the bathroom and sat in a daze for about 10 mins then got dressed and called the hospital - they said come in for a check up. My daughter was born at 10.37pm that night.

I would advise you to carry a few maternity pads around with you if only have 3 weeks to go - i thought really big period pads would be enough but theyre not - you really need maternity pads if your waters break (remember not everyones waters break).

Hi hun I lost my plug at about 35 weeks and was induced at 38 weeks. I had the gel at 7pm and by 10pm I was having mild contractions every 2 minutes then at 11pm my waters broke.

Hi, all my 3 previous labours have started with me getting contractions, and then my waters have been broken with my first 2 daughters, but with my last son, he was actually born in his waters, which i was told some strange old wives tale by the midwife after....lol.

Mostly but not always - they will have you back in to be induced if labour hasn't established with 48hrs as there is an increased risk of infection.
