This may seem an odd question but is it alright to use hair removal cream when your pregnant?

It doesn't say anything on the packet but I thought maybe I should check. Any ideas?

It's not recommended - too many chemicals.

Sorry ladies!! If you find an alternative that doesn't involve waxing and that I can do around my 38 week bump I'll be a very happy bunny!

I don't know if cream is safe but to answer the etiquette- don't think the MWs/ Drs care much but I've tried to keep my lady garden trimmed. I'm finding it impossible to see and even reach properly now so at the weekend I resorted to the clippers!!! Grade 1 all over so at least I haven't got bald patches!!!Surprised

I was told it was fine to use just make sure you do a test patch first because (like hair dye) the chemicals might have a different reaction with your skin to normal.
To be honest, there is so much you 'can't' do that I'm suprised any of us ever get out of bed in the morning!!!!!

As for lady garden etiquette.... maybe I'll dye mine pink/blue just for a laugh!! See if it matches when bubs is born!!!

I was told the reason not to use is not that it could harm baby, but because our skin is so different, we might have a reaction. As long as you patch test, you should be fine.

I've been doing mine, but the last time was a disaster as I can no longer see over bump. Had to resort to variety of mirrors!

Is it weird for a pregnant woman to get her bikini line waxed?
I often have mine done but wouldn't want to if its a bit odd!!!

Not sure I could have my legs done tho!!!

I've looked in my pregnancy book- and it says not use hair removal creams in pregnancy because of the chemicals they contain.

Joo- I've been continuing with my brazilian wax through the pregnancy; goodness knows what the beautician thinks!

I've been having to get my dh to "trim" me, I can't see anything over the top of this huge bump (feet disappeared long ago) - just as well he's trustworthy LOL!

I've not been using it as the smell makes my sickness worse, but in the interests of clarity, I've contacted Veet's press office to ask if it is safe during pregnancy.

As soon as I get a response, I'll let you know!

i have been keeping up with my hollywood wax althrough (nearly 30 weeks). i have the same woman everytime so she is used to the bump.

with regards to the birth and the lady garden, i have booked my wax for the monday before im due (due date is a sat) as i dont want to look like a yetti when im laying there with my legs somewhere around my neck LOL! (nice image i know but just being realistic)

i have heard that it makes dealing with the bleeding afterward easier and also helps with stitches but not sure if that is true
