Subject : Comfort Milk??
Hey girls,
Is there some sort of formula that helps with baby's unsettled tummy's - wind? If so I am thinking of giving my little girl Amber who is 22 days old a bottle of this before bed as it only seems to be the night that she suffers a bit from wind, I know its quite common for them to suffer from it at night I just want her to be able to sleep she looks so tired and her tummy is gurgling and she gets all kicky pants!!
I am b'feeding at the moment and give her a bottle of ebm before bed, I use tommee tippee closer to nature bottles - are these bad for wind???
Thanks for your advice,
Amy xx

hello again, i am just struggling with the same thing - Neva has really bad wind / tummy ache and we are trying everything. The Infacol is a miracle for getting wind up - just a pippett right before a feed. It should be given to every new mum i think. We have also just tried aptamil, easy digest food but am thinking of changng again. Apparently it helps windy babies and is easier to digest but i really dont like it. Neva has had it for approx 3 days now and she seems to have even worse tummy ache, really stinky nappies and as it is thicker she falls asleep before she has finished bottle! Try the formula yourself as it may just work but i am thinking it doesnt suit Neva. Quite stressed now about which formula to get to help her...let alone the cost of keep changing! let me know if yo get a good result x

Hi, I've used C&G Comfort formula & it helped my LO...I tried Aptimil normal formula & it made my LO puke at each feed so never tried that make again...when LO was older I moved onto Hipp Organic milk as it is cheapest & he was over his windy period...I used Infacol & think it worked - I've used it whilst BF'ing & I think it can be added to bottle feeds (but check the instructions!).
I also used MAM Ulti-vent bottles (the ones with the screw off bottom).

Theo has been on everything going! He was breastfed, then on aptimal, then aptimal hungry baby which just seemed to go straight through him and not really satisfy him so then SMA which made his reflux really bad and we have now finally settled on cow and gate comfort! Its great, he feeds every 4 hours, reflux is gone and wind comes up easily.

hi there, i tried infacol when cam 1st started with belly ache/colic. but it seemed to stop working after a few weeks so i moved him onto cow and gate comfort milk. it was wonderful and it did a world of good. he was like a different baby overnight. he's on normal cow and gate now as he's passed that newborn whingey stage.
i would recommend it to anyone, you need a fast flow teat as its thick and their poo's stink but its well worth it.
