She has made another appointment to see me in 3 weeks time too. I was surprised that they saw me this early but at the surgery where I go this is there procedure. stoneyc x

I'm in Edinburgh, I'm 10 weeks, got a scan in 3 weeks then they say during that they'll make an appointment for booking in, so will be at least 14 weeks! understand the impatience, I'm just desperate to feel like somethings happening and to see a heartbeat! also - i think that's the only scan we get, no 20 week one for abnormalities or anything. is that normal practice? Aileen xx

aileenh10 Joined : Sep 25, 2008 Posts : 99 Rank: Regular My Other Topics	Posted : Oct 03, 2008 6:42:18 PM Subject : midwife appointment yeah only one peep will drive my crazy! i don't know how much it costs to go private for a scan (but hopefully less than moving ), but we're thinking of trying to do that around 20 weeks, even just 2d to check everythings OK. i have a friend who's pregnant and they found a problem with the baby's heart at the 20 week scan which wouldn't otherwise have been picked up on, so surely it's got to be worth it?! not sure yet if i want to know the sex, are you going to find out? but yes it would be good to have the option! anyway, good luck everyone with appointments and scans Aileenxx
