Is anyone on a " Homefinders Scheme" and if so how do u qualify to get on there?

Im really fed up cos im on the "Rent Deposit Housing Benefit scheme" and it is so hard to find a decent property in A good area etc. People think that if your on benefits you must be the scum of the earth etc. Well No, im a decent honest person and intend on going back to work once my son is at school.
An Estate agent has told me it be better for me to go on a Homefinders scheme but when i went to the council i spoke to someone at reception and they said you have to be classed as homeless and this only happens if you get evicted and therefore stop paying your rent and get taken to court, but i dont want it to come to that as it will give me a bad record. Ive been given wrong advice from these council folk before.

So if anyone can just tell me how they got on the Homefinders scheme and how they were eligable it be a great help, thanks. x

Have you tried googling? I just googled 'Homefinders Scheme' and it comes up with loads based on various towns etc......just pop ur town in when u google and it shud give u some info.
