Subject : Snuggle- what do I do with it?

Hi my daughter is 8 weeks old and has been bought 4 snuggles (think thats what they're called!) and I'm not sure what to do with them! I understand they are like a security blanket and I've picked one, slept with it so it has my scent and given it to her to cuddle. Is it safe for her to sleep with or just to go to sleep with?

Thanks ladies xx

Is it a small blanket (possibly with a bear's head)? If so, my baby's had one from the beginning. She's been absolutely fine with it. It's been great recently with her starting nursery. I bought two when I first got it and now the second one goes to nursery with her for naps (smelling like me). If you're not sure about letting her sleep all night with it just yet, just use it for naps and when she needs comfort.

My lo is 9 weeks old and has one I bought and one she was given. I've tried introducing the one I bought at night time but she's too interested in feeding from me! I tried encouraging her to cuddle it by laying it between me and her arm but I think she's just not interested/too young to cuddle it at the mo.

I've read that you should take toys away from a sleeping baby/child so if you introduce it for sleeping I would take it out of the cot when they're asleep.

Thanks ladies, she seems to enjoy cuddling it, might keep one of the other ones in the car, would be a shame not to use them. Yes they are like a little blanket with heads on xx
