Subject : Engage question please help

I have excess fluid around baby and the dr said this was the reason why the baby was not engaging. The problem is if the water goes and baby is not engaged there could be problems. My question is can I go into labour if the babies head is not engaged? Please help? 38+5

i was not given a reason why my LO head was not engaged at 39+2 when i went to see the midwife, she even booked me in for an induction 2 weeks later but i didnt need that as I went into labour and had her the next day. they say that in most first time pregnancy the babys head engages well before labour and its more common not to in later pregnancys. try not to worry and ask your midwife for more information about what she thinks labour holds for you xx
