I am so excited!!!!! I have just tried my Angelsounds doppler out again and I have found beanie's heartbeat!!!! it was definately there galloping away so fast!!! I was just about to give up and thought I would move it slighly more to the right, about 2 inches away from my right hip bone, definately off midline and there it was. What a relief, I was starting to get anxious again as my 12week scan is approaching in just over 2 weeks.

WOW, so happy right now, hubby has heard it too!

Becky

10+1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have included the link now to listen to having recorded it earlier, I cant stop listening to it now - my new addiction!!!

Well, I have read up a little bit of background info on fetal dopplers and apparently the fetal heartbeat can be heard from around 8weeks, but I would guess that depends on how good the doppler is. Most go on to say that from 10-12weeks you can hear the heartbeat on a doppler and that by 14 weeks 99% of fetal hbs will be heard. It was ticking along at around 145bpm so it was definately lil beanie's!!! I would recommend the angelsounds doppler, as it had been on here to me; I bought mine from Amazon for under £30 with P&P and a bottle of gel, bargain!

xx

PS My heartbeat was more central and running at about 65bpm, I would be seriously worried if my heartrate was 145 or so!!! LOL!

Katie - when did you feel your baby move for the first time? Did you placenta prevent you from feeling baby earlier too do you think?

that is really cool. great recording too! i heard my LO(whos now 3) heartbeat at 10 weeks altho the midwife did say they dont like to try and find it incase they cant (as it can be hard to find) and this then makes the parents worry unnesserarly (sp?)
by the way are you finding out your babys sex? can i guess?

Hiya,
Hubby wants to know the sex but basing it on the old wives tale I would say its a girl - would you agree? I know they have performed research on this and there was no discernable difference between either sex on average but its fun to guess. I have a funny feeling it might be a girl anyway, it suddenly came to me a few weeks ago when I wasnt even thinking about it. I will probably be eating my words though in a couple of months when we find out!!! Razz

lol i was going to guess a boy, LOL! . my midwife told me i was having a girl by listening to her heartbeat and she said she was 80% sure and she was right!
when we get our bfp i think we will get them to write it down and put it in an envelope so we can find out when we are at home on our own and then we can find out whenever we like, maybe straight after scan maybe when i go over due (something to spur me on!)
enjoy the rest of your pregnancy xx

That is sooo sweet! I got my angel sound doppler last week and found it straight away! Sooo nice and reassuring eh? Although... Tallkatie is right, some days you wont be able to find it and yesterday was a great example, cud not find heartbeat at all!! :( Even posted on here saying i was worried, was sitting for over an hour and nothing, BUT today i found it low down my left hand side and it was clear as day, thank god! lol. Only took 5-10mins today, they are sooo small and like to hide from us mummies hehe!
How did u record it? I got a cable, but the instructions are in a foreign language lol

Ours came with a recording cable which hubby just plugged into the pc and downloaded a "mircrophone recording software" called "freecorder". Worked a treat, sending the link to the folks!! They love it!! LOL!

I know I mustn't get worried if I dont find it one day, its quite tricky to find at the moment but once I get the angle right.... voila! I will try and refrain to listening to it on a weekly basis rather than daily... YEAH RIGHT!!! Happy
