Subject : Not TTC related, need ideas.

Hey ladies,
We are going on holiday in November and I want to go somewhere hot where I will come home with a tan, only problem is I dont want to go to far as in long distance flights and we do not want to spend too much money. Any ideas and your own holiday experiences would be great. Thanks very much xxx

We're going abroad for New Year, we fly out on New Years Eve to Fuerteventura, its lovely there that time of the year so I would imagin November would be just as nice.
Only problem is the flight is 4 hours from Glasgow.
If your wanting to go away at the time of the year the only hot places really are the Canary Islands which are all about 4 hours away (from Glasgow) not sure how long from where you stay.
You will get a lovely tan because there is a breeze so you don't feel the heat as much I always come back looking lovely and bronzed!

xx

I'm the same I can't wait to get away, we never got away in the summer.
Not sure how much of a holiday it will be, with a 16 month running around, not even sure if I will come back with a tan. No more relaxing holidays for me!
Enjoy this one as it might be your last one without a baby

if it's abroad you want then canary islands r def' a good bet.

Prague's not a beach place really. the hotel was hotel yasmin - heres a link

http://www.hotel-yasmin.cz/prague-photos

- we went there to get away for a few days, eat out, visit the old and new towns etc.

if you want to stay in the uk I could give you a list of gorgeous hotels.

have you seen anywhere you fancy? i'm sure if you have specific places you were thinking of people will have plenty of feedback for you x

We are booked to go to Fueteventura in October and got a rally good deal with first choice (half term) it is always nice all year round. We have also been to Gran Canaria which is lovely. I don't think that you can go wrong with the Canaries.

We stayed in the Barcelo Fueteventura and Hotel Costa Meloneras in Gran Canaria - Both are excellent.

Hope you have a nice holiday

Cape Verde is just south of the canary islands, bit closer to africa, slightly hotter and still only 4hr flight.

Canaries are a good bet, weather's usual nice and it's reasonably priced.

Hiya

We have been to the Hotel Coronas Playa in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote many times and absolutely love it there. Its a Thomson Gold Hotel, half board, no kids,a lovley promenade to walk down, friendly staff (who remembered us from 3 years earlier) and lovely food. We've been all times of the year and it has always been hot. Theres loads to see, volcanoes, lovely beaches, fishing villages, etc and would highly recommend it. We are looking at booking there in Feb xx

Hiya,

I posted on your other thread about Alcudia as missed this thread...

We have been on November holidays to Tunisia, Fuerteventura and Malta (also Caribbean but guess that's too far...) All were good weather-wise.
Hotel Faro in Fuerteventura was fab. Excellent food, lovely spa, v close to beach, lovely pool area etc. Really lovely holiday.
Tunisia was v good value moneywise. I'd go again if I just wanted a cheap break but it wasn't anything special.
Malta was a last min cheapie that turned out to be one of the best hols we have had - but we did more sightseeing than sunbathing though.

I would say go with Canaries if you just want a tan. Or Cape Verde islands.

Hi Sweetie,

It was Nov when we were to Fuerteventura and it was hot enough to sunbathe. That's all we did for 2 weeks. It was a few years ago now but I think we did have one afternoon of rain but that was it.

We knew someone who was a holiday rep out there and she took us for drinks at the Jandia Princess hotel (it's all incl) That looked lovely.

I love love love looking for holidays. Enjoy! If you want any info give me a shout as I think I have researched about every destination going...!!!!! I should be a travel agent really...! xxx

Hey - I have been looking into the same thing myself - need a tan after the summer we have had! How about Gambia - it is about £500 for the week and only 2 hours time difference and flight is not too bad.
