Subject : Colief
Hi,
Been using colief for a week now and Tamzin is so happy and settled again.
Just wanted to ask anyone else who has used it, is it ok to prep feeds and add the colief and store in the fridge till I need them?
She really doesnt like waiting half an hour after its added to her feed.

Thanks for that.
How long do you store them in the fridge, 12 hours or 24?

Hi hun,
Ive been using colief for 3 wks now. And yes its such a god send. My little girl is so much more happier now.
If you read the leaflet it says you can store the made up bottle for upto 4 hrs. Wat I do is once Ive fed lo, I go and make another bottle, coz she feeds every 4 hrs. I wudnt leave them for 12 or 24 hrs. It is a pain. But my little girl was in so much pain b4 that I dont mind doing this.
Wen I go out I make up a bottle, and I keep it in a cool bag for no longer than 2 1/2 hrs. You just have to be more organised with her feeds if your using colief. But after about a wk or so you get used to it.
Good luck
Naz&baby Summer

Thanks naz.
Been on the colief site and they say not to store any feed weather treated with colief or not for more than 12 hours.
I make up Tamzins feeds for the day, so have added the 2 drops to them. Will use them as I need them.
Tamzin does go about 4 hours between feeds normally, but some times she wants it sooner.
Love the name Summer btw, was on our short list before Tamzin was born.
Ur right colief is a god send. Wish it was around a few years ago for my other 2.

Hi Kerry,
I had no idea that you cud make 12 hrs worth up and store them in fridge. If it works for you, then great. Also if you hav other children its easier.
The reason I said 4 hrs was coz I asked the chemist and she said wen she had kids she made it as she went along. But I might try making 12 hrs worth up and see how Summer is. But its working ok for me at the mo.
Wat do you do wen you go out?I hate making Summer wait 1/2 hr, coz she gets really upset if she dont get her milk wen shes hungry.
Btw, I love the picture of your lo, shes so cute.

I think up to 12 hours in the fridge is ok..
I make up for the day and use as needed. She feeds quite often during the day (usually every 2 hours) so the bottles arent really left in the fridge that long!
I couldn't believe the difference when we started using colief - my friend suggested it to me. I hadnt even heard of it!

Ive been using this too and was a bit confused about it. The instructions says it needs to be put in warm milk and kept that way for 30mins. You cant reheat formula so you have to keep it warm which is a bloody pain. But for all but one of my littlins feeds he gets breast fed which means putting it in a little milk first and then breast feeding him, so how does that work??? Its not in his milk for 30 mins when he breast feeds.....

I didnt think you had to keep the milk at a constant temp.
To tell you the truth, I make the milk, so its warm, add 2 drops and put it straight in the fridge. And my lo has been fine, her colic has improved, so its obviosly working.
Last couple of days Ive been making 3 bottles at the same time and keeping them in fridge and lo seems fine having them.

I make the bottles up warm and put in the fridge & use as needed. Never had a prob & I find it much easier that way..
When I go out I have 2 of the tommee tippee thermal bottle bags - so I heat one up hot & then by the time she wants it its cool enough & the other I put straight in the bag cold from the fridge & heat it up while im out if she needs it..
Hope that makes sense!
