Subject : Blood Loss

Went for an early scan on tues morn as i had been spotting since previous thursday only to be told that i had had a missed miscarriage and was told to go home for a week and hope that things happened (very helpful eh). Anyway things did happen on Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning and i had a huge loss of blood and what i expect was the foetal sac and baby etc. there wasnt much more bleeding after that, its been quite low until today that is. Went to watch my son play football and had theis horrible feeling down below like i was going to pass another clot (you know that vaccum feeling) and suddenly i felt immensely wet. I had soaked through a super kingsize maxi maternity towel in seconds ! Of course, middle of field no toilets and miles from home so i had suffer for the rest of the match.

Anyway my question is is this normal? Ive never had a miscarriage before so have no idea! When i got home to the loo everything and i mean everyting was covered and there wa a huge clot, should i expect this to happen again? Has this happened to anyone else? HELP!!!! Confused Frown

Blood Loss

hi
sorry to hear about your loss.a similar thing happened to me about a week after i first started to bleed. it happened on two consecutive days when all of a sudden i just started bleeding really heavily out of the blue and like you soaked a pad in minutes and had to get myself to the loo asap. i would just try to monitor the clots. i actually wrote a diary while i miscarried so that i could monitor what was going on. if there's anyhing you're not happy with or unsure of, contact your epu- they are so helpful and supportive.
hope this has helped. try not to worry though as everyone miscarries differently. i bled for a fortnight and thought it was all over but ended up having to have an erpc a week later as i hadn't fully miscarried. good luck. x

lula-belle thanks for youre reply, its very strange but today i have almost no bleeding at all but am very aware that it may happen again so am close to the loo!! I havent even been told about an EPU at our hospital, was given the number of an OBGYN but nothing else, pretty useless round here.

Maximaxi i hope youre feeling better after the little op, im hoping and praying that everything has come out normally because Im finding this hard enough to cope with as it is and i dont think i can cope with any more.

Thank you for replying ladies, love and hugs to you all xx
