Subject : Struggling & dont know what I can claim ??
Hi all, long story short Im 32 weeks pregnant and now on maternity leave earning £400 per month the bills are adding up and Im ending up getting charged every month for going over my overdraft and now cant get out of my over draft, I live with my partner and dont like to ask for any more help as he pays the rent :(
Does anyone know if there is anything I can claim to help keep us going or pay for a cot! Lifes quite annoying when I look at people who never had a job and gotten pregnant making much more money than I do
Any help appreciated

Hi hon
I can't offer any advice but thought I would let you know you are not alone.
I am 25 weeks pregnant and I lost my job in May. I have been unable to get another job since and my hubby is being made redundant.
He has an interview on Monday and he is saying he won't get it so I am annoyed because he needs to be more positive.
We have no savings, have debt (which we have stopped paying for) and I am not entitled to any benefits even though I have worked solidly for 15 years and not once claimed benefits in the past and yet there are people out there who seem to get by with the help of benefits.
I may be entitled to Maternity Allowance but I am not sure.
I wasn't expecting to get pregnant (my Pill failed) and when my daughter arrives I can't go back to work as we have no child care and can't afford the nurseries.
It's a tough one but I am trying to stay positive.
