Hi girls,

I was told yesterday that they need to scan my baby's brain again next week as they are worried about the vains in the baby's head being too big. Does anyone know anyone who has been through this and it was ok?

The baby is fine apart from that so I should be happy but I am so upset.

Any advice?

Sorry that such a wonderful time is causing you worries no experience of this myself personally but i wish you well.Hope all goes well with the scan next week take care.

I will ask my sister tomorrow (she's a midwife but on nights at mo) and let you know if she knows anything about it. Hopefully next week they can tell you everything is fine, fingers crossed. xx

Hi, spoke to my sister and she didn't really know, but she knows someone who had this and when they went back the next week it was absolutely fine. Sorry I can't be of more help! xx

Thank you Hollyparry anyway. I found out the condition is called Ventriculomegaly and my baby is in the small risk area. I have my scan Thursday so i will post when I get home and update you all. Fingers crossed

Well.....................today went better than I hoped. Jr's brain is only affected on the right hand side of it and it is still very mild.

I have another scan in a month to find out if it's got better, worse or stays the same. Fingers crossed the baby will be normal if the brain remains the same. And if not my baby is still special to me.

I'm glad that today went better for you than expected and fingers crossed that when you go back in a months time things are even better still take care.
