Poor Tom at least he is ok which is the main thing. Kara holds her blanket to go to sleep but what I do and have always done is wrap the blanket around the cot sides and only leave enough in the cot for her to hold and touch her face. This way she never has it on top of her head.

omg that must of been really scarey. tyler does this too. 1 night i woke up for my other son and when i looked over at tyler he had his blanket over his face. How he managed to pull it out from being tucked in i dont know but he was fast asleep!! Now I'll only use cellular blankets or sleeping bags till he is older!!

oh blesshim how scary for you. This is one of the reasons i cannot do controlled crying as i am terrified i wouldnt recognize a different cry. I have an angel care monitor and i stay with my baby untill she goes to sleep and remove any blankies or comforts when i leave the room. she i also allways getting arms and legs stuck in bars and bangs her head up cot etc so i just cant leave her. also my baby is so wierd she likes her mobile on twice then i have to take it down as it makes her cry. a very pandered to baby!

Last week when hubby put Lily in her crib she kept whinging. Hubby said leave her a few mins but I went up and when he had zipped up her sleeping bag he had trapped her arm inside it and that's why she was crying! He felt soooo guilty!

it's so true that mothers "just know". my OH changed evie's bed sheet once and didnt use a fitted cot sheet, just a big loose fitting one as he didnt realise he should use fitted. i hadnt noticed and put evie down for a nap, i always leave her to cry herself to sleep. But after about 15mins i just had a horrid feeling that something was up, i just had a sicky feeling in my stomach so rushed in and sure enough she'd grabbed the top end of the sheet and rolled all of the way to other side of the cot and cocooned herself in the sheet from head to toe, couldnt move and could hardly breathe and was sweating all over bless he heart. i feel sick when i remember it or think that if it had been my hubby he'd not have gone in to check and then what!?
