i've been getting really bad leg cramps in the middle of the night and its driving me up the wall! its only started the past few nights but its already making me tired as my sleep is disturbed, as well as having to get up in the middle of the night for a wee!
it does say in my pregnancy book that leg cramps are normal but its so annoying and painful!

anyone else getting them?

Hi rai27 i did get it the other night and it lasted into following day but only the once thankgod!
Dont want it again but was told to drink ice water???? dont know what that supposed to do ill give it a go if i get it again though as it was very uncomfortable hope yours goes away aswell hunn.

I haven't had cramps this time (touch wood so far!!) but did with SBJr all the time! I'd never had cramp before and its awful!!!

I haven't actually had a fully blown leg cramp yet but they have threatened plenty of times, manage to shift it before it kicks in though xxx

I posted a little while ago re this. Legs are still killing me at night...mostly if i've walked around through the day...when i mean walk around i mean round shops for an hour!
I prop my legs up on a pillow under the duvet...it really does the job!
It's not a fun part of pg is it

ouch! poor you....do you sleep on a particular side? I know you can get pains if you sleep on your back?

I have started having to sleep with a pillow sort of wedged between my legs & under my bed as I find that helps (of course this makes rolling over a military operation)

I hope you find a solution to it soon

Yes I'm getting really bad leg cramps too. Usually between 2 and 4am. Literally am hopping with the pain once I can actually get out of bed.

Haven't found anything that helps as yet. If I do I'll let you know.

i knew there was a reason for coming on this site...it saves my putting my own posts up

3 nights ago i woke up screaming as i flexed my feet and got cramp in both legs, my left eased off after about 10 mins rubbing but my right leg still isnt right, if i move my foot the wrong way it sets it off again but its still there niggling away and its driving me up the wall.

anyone any idea how long we are likily to suffer for?

Tonic water!!!

Have had 1 or 2 glasses each evening for past 2 nights and no cramps at all.

Slept from 10pm until 5am last night!!

ah thats good advice rach! maybe its the quinine in the tonic water, i'll give it a go as its been getting worse! xxx
